BA at Turkey in 2 weeks :)
Hello every one
after all these consultations that I have done in UK (9 consultations:yes: ) I decided to do my BA at Turkey .. I took this decision when my friend suggested to come with her to Turkey in a business trip. I explained for her that Im planning to do BA soon and I need to keep my money for this.. then she suggested for me to do it there as she knows that the cosmetic surgery is very developed in turkey and alot of people doing it there as its much much cheaper than UK.
After this I started my search online and by a turkey friend there and I was amazed about all facts I found about the cosmetic surgery there. I did contacted 4 clinics there and they were good in replying and explain every thing for me . in the end I decided to do it with
"comfort zone" . It will cost me £2750 and this is include every thing from arriving the airport till I leave after 6 days. this price include the consultations ,the prior tests, the surgery with allergan natrelle implant with 10y warranty 5 y aftercare , a family room in a private villa for me and my friend for 5 nights with 3 meals !
I confirmed this decision after I contacted a friend in Istanbul and she confirmed for me that hospital is one of the top hospitals at Istanbul and the same for Dr Umran the surgeon .
the good news that Im not going to wait for far appointments
So this is my decision story .. Im so excited about it and trip to Turkey ..
I would be grateful if any one share any experience or information for BA at Turkey.
Many Thanks

Re: BA at Turkey in 2 weeks :)
You said you have five years aftercare babe. This isn't what is stated in the tems and conditions. According to this, you have ONLY 90 days aftercare. After that, any revision required, you will need to pay for ALL travel costs and hotel stays yourself. This is for ALL their surgeries babeLaura911 wrote:Hello Cookie ... Also travel costs to and from the airport for your surgery are to your cost also
From the terms and conditions
More information re: complicationsAll of our surgeries come with a 3 month free corrective re-operation guarantee, for complications caused directly by our surgeon or hospital. This guarantee excludes flights and accomodation and guarantee is at the complete discretion of Comfort Zone Cosmetic Surgery.
You can read their terms and conditions HERE
COMPLICATIONS
9. The package price covers the cost of any related physical conditions or complications that become apparent within 90 days of discharge from the hospital following the procedure, provided:
(a) Such conditions or complications are treated at the hospital; and
(b) That you have followed the advice of your consultant and other medical professionals involved in your treatment. The decision as to whether a condition or complication is related to the procedure rests with Comfort Zone Cosmetic Surgery.
As you can see hun - no mention at all of any 5 year aftercare.
Also, the implant warranties, you should know ONLY cover ruptures. Nothing else. So any other complications are covered for just 90 days babe.
If you have mentors implants and you have a rupture, the implant alone would be replaced for free
If you have Allergans Natrelle range they offer a 10 replacement covering surgery costs if you have a rupture within that 10 years
You are entitled to ONLY 2 post-op appointments, so if you had concerns and wished to see your surgeon more than twice after surgery, which MANY of us do, you will be charged for this hun.
Having surgery abroad initially does sound like a cheap option babe. But... When you weigh that up against the lack of aftercare you get and the possibility of having a complication and the costs that may incur. Its not a cheaper option at all babe and could result in it being very costly indeed.
Should you have a complication and not be able to afford to pay for travel and hotels to have revision, you would then have to put yourself at the mercy of the NHS babe and you should know hun that they will not do anything to fix any complications, they will sort the problem out by removing what they see is the problem, which will be the implant.
I couldn't find anything about flights on the T&Cs there but I've read on many clinics abroad that should you miss your flight, and this can be through no fault of yours, you forfeit your surgery. So please do check that out babe.
I want to be as honest as possible with you hun so you're fully prepared for all eventualities should you have complications because obviously you've already been lied to in being told you have 5 years aftercare - you don't hun.
I really do always feel like the voice of doom on here, but I believe knowledge is power and everyone should be aware of all risks and have fully research all options.
If you've just booked and want out Laura, you could ask about a cooling off period. If the clinic that you book through is UK based they should have one set in placed... If they're in Turkey, then I don't know where you stand with that hun and you'd have to look into that yourself.
If you're still happy to proceed, we will 100% support you throughout your entire journey babe. Xxx

I noticed this too MrsB which was worrying... Why wouldn't he be listed on the staff list?mrsball wrote:Also dr umran is not on their staff list nor can I find anything on him ?
There's no info at all about him on the web, not even his own website, do you have a website listing his qualifications hun? And I don't mean just what you've been told sweetie. Xx
Re: BA at Turkey in 2 weeks :)
Some of these posts may sound full of doom & gloom! You may have your surgery and everything be straight forward healing and a great result etc, what we all hope for! You need to weigh up the pros and cons of surgery abroad and what you will do if unlucky to have a complication. Turkey is alteast a 4 hour+ flight away and additional costs would take the price to over the cost of surgey in the uk.Only you can make that decision but if its only the cost that is influencing your choice to go to turkey, would it not be better to wait a little longer and save the extra for an op nearer to home.
Best wishes in what you decide. XXX

Re: BA at Turkey in 2 weeks :)
You're braver than me. I'm not sure I'd want to risk going abroad, mainly due to risk of complications. I would be inclined to weigh it all up and see if the potential risk is worth the saving. You're potentially only saving about £1000 and still having to pay for flights.
If this is the route for you though I wish you the best of luck and I really hope it all works out for you.x

I'm not going to ban you Prettylil
Yes, there are clinics in the UK that offer cheap surgery but in saying that I personally would never advise anyone to seek out 'bargain boobjobs' they mostly always lead to 'bodgejobs'. Trust me, we've seen so many here, so it VERY important to focus on the 'surgeon' when researching and then of course, clinic and aftercare offered to ensure you have some protection if you are unfortunate to have a complication and with this surgery, no matter how good your surgeon might be there will always be risks involved.
And welcome to Breast Buddies babe maybe if you'd like to, you could introduce yourself in the 'say hello' section of the forum so we can all give you a big warm welcome and get to know a little about you too. Xx

Even some of these uk. Companies offering for as little as £2500 are questionable . you've hot to ask why so cheap. There's no such thing as a bargain boob job.Prettylil wrote:Hi Ladies,

Re: BA at Turkey in 2 weeks :)
hi good luck on the up and coming BA in Turkey
Just to add a little bit from me and travelling for a BA
I had my BA in Glasgow, 40 mins from where I am in North Ayrshire and after I had my BA the surgeon moved to Manchester and I thought to myself auch no prob, but then I started having complications, my boobs havent dropped and I have CC in the left boob abd having a reop and since im going under GA im deciding to change the implants for 360cc MP to 350cc HP and having the pocket and brease crease lowered
Before my op I need a pre op for bloods and MRSA tests and luckily enough I have a great GP who has done the tests for me and I have the results to send back to the surgeon so that saved me a flight or a 3 hour traing trip/5 hour drive just for a 10 min appointment
Im needing to travel to Manchester the night before my op and stay in a hotel and then the day after my op, if all goes well face that 5 hour drive home, not nice.
The week after my op and then again 14 days after my op I need to go see the surgeon for checks but again my GP has been great and has offered to check my stitches for me
SO basically all i saying is that its hard work IF anything goes wrong and you have travelled for your BA xx

Great advice on here x I also had a look on the website and noticed the consultant wasn't on the staff list. I tried googling him too but couldn't find anything. Pleased for you if you're happy to go ahead hunni but if you are able to have a cooling off period like cookie suggested I would seriously consider this xx

Re: BA at Turkey in 2 weeks :)
I have a friend who went through a UK company for surgery in Belgium, and I thought she was nuts even though the pre and aftercare was in the UK. I think it's all down to risk really and how much risk an individual is willing to take... There are plenty of horror stories but there are also plenty of positive outcomes.
I think everyone has been fab with their responses though-companies will tell us anything to get our hard earned (or hard-plastic carded) cash lol, but you need to know all aspects in order to make an informed choice and at least the original poster is able to do that now - good luck on whatever you decide :) xxx
