Skin 'puffy' in between boobs.
Hi guys,
Just after you thoughts on something that is bugging me.
The skin inbetween my boobs is raised, it's not hard it's soft and I can push it back to my chest with little effort. At first I thought it was just swelling but it hasn't gone down any. It's a very obvious difference and although it only projects about 1 cm from my chest it is like a small but very noticeable bridge from boob to boob.
Have any of you ever had something similar? Did it disappear?
Thanks ladies xxxxx

I had this after my surgery in between my boobs. It was more prominent when the bra was tighter. All to do with the swelling and fluid I guess. It has disappeared now x

Yup, mine was like it for weeks. Its just swelling. It still feels a tiny bit like that still, but I think its just my imagination. It should go down within a month

Fab Avi Misty!!
It seems to be more prominent when I undo my bra to shower or wash etc...
I think it is just down to swelling but I just have this niggling in the back of my head because it was something I was very apprehensive of prior to surgery.
I'm not going to let it bother me too much because there is nothing I can do now and it would be a shame to let something so fickle spoil my beautiful new boobies.
I really want to stop using my Macom and settle for a softer sports bra because this Macom is forcing my boobs together and giving me a cleavage which I don't want :/ my OH loves cleavage but I like a gap!
Lots of love xxxxxx

I have this between my boobs too and underneath around my ribs, I think its just swelling and fluid, it should hopefully go away once swelling goes. x

It properly freaked me out! I knew in my head it was just swelling, but Id somehow mananged to convince myself that it was the muscle coming away from the wall and i'd end up with a uni boob! Like I say, Itll go away eventually.
Did your PS specifically want you in the Macom? Or jsut a sports bra? You could always switch it for daytime. I only just got a macom like, 2 weeks ago, and only wear it at night (with a lovely sock in between - thought my days of socks in bras was over!). I just wear a firm sports bra during the day.

I had swelling in between my boobs too, and my skin was yellow with bruising. I did bruise rather a lot though!!
It has gone now but it was puffy for a while.....

Swelling on the sternum is very common after surgery Nire. Mine lasted a good 5 or 6 month and I found it very uncomfortable wearing bras because of this, but it did eventually settle down babe.
As with any concerns love,y, if its still raised when you have your next check up do mention it to your surgeon and have your concern logged. Xx

Awed guys thank you all so much for sharing your stories too. I feel loads better having the reassurance from you guys.
As for my Macom, my surgeon told me to buy one and bring it to the hospital but has been very spars on details since!
What's the sock thing all about? Haha xxxx

Re: Skin 'puffy' in between boobs.
A sock placed in your cleavage when you're going through the transition of back sleeping to side sleeping just helps your boobs to remain stable and no to have to the top boobage fall to the bottom one which can be very uncomfortable early post-op Nire. Xx

I still have this if I don't have a bra on and I'm sitting/lying down :( makes some wires really uncomfortable! Think at this stage I'll have it forever, but it has reduced from how I was early post op xx

I think I'll learnt to love it if it does stick around but I'll be happy if it reduces back to being flat! x
