day 3 PO - feeling down Empty day 3 PO - feeling down

Post by Pixiedust 2nd September 2013, 10:52 am

Was sick when I woke up this morning and feel very light headed, I had been feeling good up until now. I also have a lot of bruising which goes from the side of my right boob all the way round my ribs to my back, is it normal to have this much?
Ive been looking at my boobs and they seem really small, id say they look no more than a b cup, I know size can never guaranteed but my surgeon had told me i should get the d cup I asked for. Would just hate to think I spent all that money to just get a b cup! Think im just feeling a bit down and emotional today!

Aww pixie, sounds like the boobie blues that lots of girls describe and day three is always the worst apparently!!
Don't judge your boobs yet, your skin is still holding them very tightly, when it starts to relax your boonies will eventually drop and fluff... Also your feel much better once your out the sports bras!!

Your be surprised when you get measured after your six weeks xx

Aw (((hugs))) I've been feeling like this too...we have just been through an emotional thing..I for one never imagined I would have it done and now it is its strange. As much as i wanted it its something that always gets put off due to other life issues! I feel regret, they are not what I expected, guilt that I can't pick up my son still etc etc but I am confident the feeling will pass and ill be happily showing them off next summer...in a bikini obviously lol!

I don't feel like mine look very big but have just tried on an old sports bra from when I was a g cup and it fits so I think given a little time you will be happy with what you have :-) x

Awww girls it does get better Hug

If you're taking strong pain killers they can make you feel worse than the actual op does! So if you feel you can stop taking strong pain killers its best that you do that and you'll soon feel more like yourself.

Make sure you're getting yourself up and walking around. Get yourself up and dressed if you feel able and out in the fresh air for a nice walk. Honestly... The fresh air will do you the world of good and the walking helps get rid of any Buddah belly if you have one or constipation if this happens due to the meds. The walking helps stimulate the bowels.

Size of boobs right after surgery is definitely no indication of the final result girls, so what you're looking down at now is not what you'll be looking at six months from now.

Right now the skin and muscle if you have partials are sooooo tight and holding on that implant and holding it back. As everything releases and settles the implant can then show its full potential.

If I had a pound for every woman here who who wasn't happy with their size right after surgery saying they're too small and then fast forward to when they go for their first fitting as reading a different person, happy with their boobs I'd be a very rich woman hun.

Patience is the hardest part of your journey babe, but patience really does pay off.

Hope the post-op blues eases up soon Hug

Aw hun, day 3 is the worst. Trust me, it gets better! Like Cookie says, if you can start weening yourself off the strong painkillers and just onto paracetamol, trying to get some fresh air and just moving about a bit more, you'll feel more human. The bruising is all normal, mine was all up my ribs, it'll fade in a week or two. Hope you feel better :)

Aw thanks everyone, its good to know I'm not alone in how I feel! I havent been taking many pain killers as I'm not really in pain just discomfort,  only had one dose of paracetamol today and I have been  up and about as much as I can, walked my daughter to school and back today,  the fresh air does help!
I just cant picture my boobs looking any bigger than they do right now and I guess it doesn't help that I still feel really quilty spending all that money on myself when it could've went on my two kids nope

Your kids aren't suffering are they?

Is there something in there lives that they desperately NEED right this minute that you haven't got for them?

I think I can answer for you and say that your kids are well fed, they're warm, clothes and LOVED.

That's all they NEED babe. They also need a mummy who is happy and having a BA will do that for you.

A happy mummy makes for happy kids, so just you remember that next time you have a pang of guilt.

You've done nothing wrong in wanting something for yourself. Its OK as a mother to put yourself first from time to time babe. Your kids will not and have not gone without Hug  xx

Thanks tinkerbell! Its just hard to imagine them looking any different to how I see them now. And its hard when you have young kids, mine are 3 & 4 I'm so use to putting them first and feel bad for not being able to play and do as much with them as usual.

Post by jakki32 2nd September 2013, 1:34 pm

Day 3 is probably the hardest day for most post op. all the doubts, the pain and just feeling on a downer generally physically & mentally. There is light at the end of the tunnel Hun xxx they will improve week by week and start looking like a great pair of boobs. Mine were like rockets, and not very nice at all to look at, but I just lived having something! You will feel so much better in a few days. So much healing to do and lots of changes to come
