very annoyed! the whole world knows!

So I'm a bit annoyed tbf....my mam had just been round with my cousin that I'm not close to and my cousin said "that tops not gunna fit you much longer" to which my mam said with a massive grin on her face "oh I told her, she's family after all" so exactly who else have you told mam?! "Erm a few people, it's not a big deal, just my sisters they are your aunties after all they SHOULD know, and ******* over the road since she will be having the dog while I have your kids when u go in....." WTF?! 

It should be my choice who knows or not, but seemingly my mam has told the whole world and quoting her "well they will bloody know anyway, you've never had any bust haha not even any point in you wearing a bra!!!" ....and then turned round and said "well I WANT to see them when they're done....I wanna see where they sew the nipple on" so I told her I'm not having that yet just the implant "oooohhhh so they're just stuffin em then?!! Well I still wanna see its not like they're YOURS anyway so it's not a big deal!!!" 

So p***ed off, just because they're implants doesn't mean they don't belong to me, they do and implants or not I'm not getting them out to show everyone, especially not my mam who just doesn't "get it" anyway, and has probably made fun of my non existant boobs more than any single person anyway! 

Think being so close to actual op I'm stressed anyway! But really it should be my choice! And those of you who have had their op...they do eventually feel like they belong to you don't they??

She may just be nervous/excited and not know how to express herself.  Dont let it get you down..you dont need to show anyone, how would they feel if you asked them to get theirs out!

Oh I'm sorry that all had to happen. You're quite right that no-one has the right to look or even know unless you want them to. As you're so close to your op now hunny, try and just let it go and relax before your big day.

We're all here to support you even if others in your life maybe finding the change a bit more difficult to deal with.

Thank you! I've never been close to my mam, she's a wonderful grandmother to my kids, but has never ever understood me, I don't know why I expected any different. She is adamant that because she is my mum that gives her automatic rights to see my breasts.....???....anyway she's sulked off home, disgusting that I said I'm not showing her.....she will be fine tomorrow, it's a daily thing that she HAS to fall out with me or make snide comments while she puts my brothers and sisters on a pedestal.....if it was my golden girl sister she would be fiercely protective and making sure everyone bowed to her feet.....Just need to breathe and remember in 5days I'm going to have boobies, and my little family love me, boobs or no boobs and just want me to be happy!   But I just know she will try and pull down my top to see or pull sulky teenager faces when I say no when it cones to it, just trying to stay calm and focused on Thursday and not let anything ruin it for me

I would hate that! Im in a situation also whereby I stupidly told my boyfriends mum way back in may when I booked and she's trying to pressure me to tell her whole family basically so I'm kicking myself so much!!

I haven't told my mum about my BA and I won't do it either because I know how she will make me feel bad.
She always find ways to insult me and I try to convince myself that I don't care, but I do.
I moved abroad when I was 20 and I'm sorry to say but I have never missed my mother. I miss my father sometimes and I really enjoy the times we meet. But my mother just gives me migraine.
Don't let anyone ruin this positive journey for you! 

Don't worry about it, loads of people know about mine and it becomes old news pretty quickly x

Awwwww sweetness, I think your mum is being very unsympathetic to a surgery that is very personal to you  

Could you not go around to your mums and have a chat one to one without an audience? Maybe with your cousin being there your mum may have thought it was funny to make light of the surgery?

Sit your mum down and tell her, real boobs or augmented boobs here still YOUR boobs and you're not at all comfortable discussing this with anyone other than those you wish to tell yourself in your own good time.

Explain to her how much your privacy means to you and that you'd appreciate her respecting that.

Hopefully she'll listen and understand that she took things too far today and should maybe give thought to YOUR feelings rather than worrying about not telling family who SHE thinks should know. Xxx

Thanks, just annoyed me that she was acting so childish and like is was her right to tell who she wanted and see them. Didn't have a choice in not telling her though, cos she has to watch the children while I'm in (which she loves anyway, like I said couldn't fault her as a grandparent at all)  I'm just stressing it's so close I guess! :)

Well I'm seeing her Wednesday, and I'm gunna have to be blunt and say this is my surgery, and I will take responsibility if other people wade in and think they should have been told so she doesn't feel like they will blame her. Maybe your right and she doesn't realise just how big a deal this is for me, and that it's not a case of flashing them around

Try not to let her stress you out. I feel for you, I haven't told my  Mum either for much the same reasons as everyone else.

She's got opinions on everything and we argue all the time. Thankfully she's moved abroad, she teaches in Thailand, so I only have to see her twice each year! I expect that since she's so wrapped up in her own importance she probably won't even notice my increased boobie size anyway!!

My Dad on the other hand is brilliant. I told him, expecting him to be a little disapproving and he surprised me! His exact words were 'are you suffering a little shrinkage then!!'. He then told me about a couple of women at his work that had theirs done! Who knew he'd be such an authority on the subject!!

Family can so often be a pain. I'm sure it will rapidly become old news anyway!
Cheer up, soon you'll be so in love with the new additions you won't care what people say anyway!!xx

Aww hun! Mums can be hard work. It sounds to me like she just doesn't get why you would want to keep it a secret. And she has decided to over rule your decision to do so. 

Sometimes mums just think they have the right to do whatever they want where their children are concerned and don't seem to care wether or not their children have now grown up.

My advice to you would be, stick to your guns! She has no automatic right to look at your new boobs. It's your body and your decision. And don't let her ruin your boobie day, it really is the most fantastic day ever!! Good luck xx

Ah Hun she sounds a bit like my darling mother 
We aren't close and over the years she has just pushed me further and further away with spiteful things she has said without thinking
I haven't told her and will not mention it unless she does... Which I don't think she would anyway
It makes me sad that mums make their kids feel like this, I really I hope I never do this to my kids...
And mine are day2 and feel like me so don't you worry

Yes you will be feeling more sensitive and stressed now that your BA is close - put it behind you, what's done is done, rise above it.

Ultimately it doesn't matter one jot who knows, it is a life changing experience and don't let it spoil your day x
