Hi ladies x still haven't done m surgery diary. So a quick update here. I was feeling really woozy yesterday prob due to the morphine and ga and threw up twice. sick Unsettled sleep and woke in morning feeling ok. Managed brekkie and than other half picked me up just before lunch. Still feel a bit sick every time I stand guess that's like "morning boob". But I have "standing boob"! Pleased with them so far just hoping the pressure will subside soon. Although I'm only on day 1 so not looking forward to next few days. Xx

The pressure can last a little while hun. Drink lots of water to flush the GA from your system! Day 3 is usually the worst, try and keep on top of the painkillers. Xx

Hope you had a bit of rest overnight, and are a bit more comfortable.

You will feel tight for a few days, a mountain of pillows will help soooo much.  Prop yourself up in bed with a nice cup of tea and watch some telly or read, but get up regularly for a little walk around, it will help your recovery x

It's a mixture of ga, pain killers and anti b's. LOTSOF water to flush it all out, if you do feel queasy, eat little and often, and plain stuff, crackers, toast, bananas, and a little bit of what you fancy.

You can try anti sickness travel bands, and nibble ginger biscuits , drink some ginger tea, ginger being a great anti nausea x

Thanks girls. I slept ok. Propped myself completely upright so didn't feel the boob rush quite so much when I got up! Will def keep up with pain killers. Only on paracetamol and ibuprofen so I know they're fine. They didn't give me anti biotics. Thanks for all your advice. You are all such a great help xx

Hope the sickness has subsided now Misty. If it hasn't, I found eating little and often helped rather than to have a full meal placed in front of me. Ginger biscuits too help with sickness.

If the sickness feels really bad then you could call your GP and ask to be prescribed some anti-sickness meds to see you through hun.

Don't be afraid of getting yourself up and about even if you feel this is when you feel the most pressure. It really will help hun. The sooner you're up and about the better for you and your recovery misty. So even if its just a short walk around the house at first every couple of hours or so, this will help alot. Not only for the swelling, but also for the risk of DVT. The worst you can do is sit/lay down all day babe. Xx

Well you are doing really well if you aren't taking anything stronger than paracetamol/ibuprofen!

It will get easier x
