Drains removed
Just had drains removed which was a very strange feeling! Had a restless night didn't sleep too well but kept dozing and slept better after asking nurse to take "foot monitors" off. They were so noisy! Had a quick peek at the rocks xx

Re: Drains removed
The feeling of them sitting under your arms is normal misty, its all the swelling hun so don't worry about that, it does get better but it takes time, so be prepared for a wait sweetie.
Oooo those inflatable boots! They drive you nuts don't they! They wouldn't let me take mine off and I was like you misty, "how the heck do you sleep when you have to listen to those inflate and deflate all night!" Lol.
You'll do better when you get home gorgeous and happy healing hun

OMG - inflatable boots???!!!! What the hell is that all about?!
Glad to hear you're doing well honey! My surgeon uses drains......I'm a day case so not too sure how he's going to get around that :-? Did it hurt when they came out?
How are you feel otherwise hon? xxx

Re: Drains removed
The drains didn't hurt me just felt very weird. I was thinking they would hurt when they came out but was surprised that they didn't. The inflatable boots circulate blood around and help prevent DVT (I think?) they didn't stop me sleeping really. In all the experience was no where near as bad as I thought and it gets easier and easier each day :) everyone is right the hard part is waiting for your boobs to look like normal noobs. Mine were very high up with a large gap. They look completely different now (3 weeks post op).

Happy healing misty, I'm having drains too. I know some surgeons don't use them but mine does..... Some people say they hurt when they are taken out... Do they? I think you will be better when home Hunni, you just can't beat your own bed........ Looking forward to a boot massage.......

Re: Drains removed
Its an odd sensation Bizzy, but they don't hurt hun.
Just follow the instruction given to you by your nurse and you'll be just fine.
I was told to look away and take deep breaths in and out... I never felt a thing, other than that odd sensation I mentioned. They're nothing at all to be concerned about hun. Xx
