Osteopath @ 10wks post? Empty Osteopath @ 10wks post?

Post by Charlii 9th August 2013, 9:53 am

I suffer with lower back pain normally, and what with the extra weight from the BA, my body carrying itself differently and sleeping funny, Im in real discomfort. I've been discussing it with my Osteo (he's doing hubby's physio), and he's well aware of my BA and how far along I am with it. He says he is happy to treat me, we'll just have to work around it, try some different techniques. What do you girls think? Should I go ahead with my appointment next week? Ive got the all clear to lay on my front, but obviously theres going to be a lot more pressure involved than a relaxing massage! Should I build some sort of boob doughnut around them with towels to take off the pressure? Or is this something I really should wait for until Ive seen my sugeon / 3 - 6mths?

If you've been given the all clear by your surgeon to treat your boobs as your own now Charlii then you're fine to apply a lot of pressure whilst laying on your front babe. I've known surgeons to run over these implants with cars to test how robust they are and they were still intact so applying some pressure on your Front is nothing in comparison.

If not... Then, I'd wait till you get the all clear. Its not so much the implant that's concerning its the pressure on your fresh incisions just now, so as long as you get that all clear to treat as your own there's nothing holding you back hun.

Hope the pain eases soon.

Have you thought about maybe trying acupuncture? X

We've tried acupuncture before, and while its lovely and relaxing for a while, its actual spinal problems I have. My lower vertabrae like to pop out of place and I think my ribs need realigning, so only a good back cracking will do!

I whipped out my underboob for him to have a look and prod at, and he was of the impression that they were healed enough and not going to come flying out....But I think your absolutely right, I should wait another couple of weeks and get the 100% all clear from my surgeon. The fact that Im nervous and questioning it kinda says it all really. Although I trust my osteopath with my body, he's just not a breast expert.
