9 days post op?? - show in London
Hey ladies, I know it will be difficult to say as you won't know how I will feel but if I feel ok do you think i will manage a 1 hour train to london with friends, dinner at restaurant and then theatre to see The Bodyguard, followed by train home again? This is booked for 9 days post op, would get train about 4pm and be home by 11pm.
All the girls at work are going and have got my ticket ages back, and really hoping I will be ok to still go, I figure I will make sure I am mobile after my op and it will give me something to look forward to etc. I will have to walk a tiny bit but will have 2 pregnant girls and another lady who has had an operation too, coming with us, we sound like a right lot!!! so there will be no rushing around!!!!
What do you reckon!???

I think all you can do is see how you feel, it's a big day out but nothing extreme on your body, by 9 days post op you may be spending your days up and about do you may be ok... But no one will be able to say if you will or not... If you do your going to have to be careful eg on the train or in the theatre to make sure your not bumped :) xx

Thanks Jennieferr, I think you are right, i just have to see how I feel, i am being positive with everyone that I will still be able to make it, but being knocked is not an option and I will definately not be going on any tubes!!!! No one knows what they are going to be like really, as everyone is so different.
Just hoping for no complications with my recovery, but that is what we all want!!!

Thanks Emily, you have had a great experience so far, just hope mine goes as well as yours.
The Bodyguard, I am not sure I am that bothered about it to be honest, I am not really good at sitting through shows, i get a fidgety bum!!!! but know I will like it when I am there, more of a social thing really! xxx

Many women reach a turning point when they start to feel better after around one week post-op, but you're still after that very weak and lethargic. Its possible you may be up to it... But then on the flip side, its also possible this is the last thing you're going to feel like doing.
My first surgery I felt great and would have been fine, but my second... There'd have been no way I could have managed the journey alone, let alone the rest. So if you have the ticket already and you're not bothered about possibility of losing your money over it then its a risk you take babe. We all heal at different rates and hopefully you'll have a good recovery. Xxx

Thanks Cookie, It is really the unknown isn't it! Who knows how I will be.....but if there is a chance I will feel ok as you did on your 1st op then that be good. But I really don't want to put my recovery back at all so I shall see how I go!!

Re: 9 days post op?? - show in London
I would say no. if it was for example, a ride in the car then a sit down meal, then a ride in the car home again then yes, but it sounds too much for just 9 days post op x

Re: 9 days post op?? - show in London
Mmm ok princess_x appreciate ur honesty. I'll just have to play by ear I think. The girls at work planned it a v long time ago and I was trying to plan by boob job around it, but have a wedding on aug 17th so was more important I had it done earlier to hopefully manage the wedding. It's hard isn't it but I don't want to do anything that will jeopardise my recovery.... We shall see!!!!
Anyway far too excited about Saturday! Xxxx
