Sun burn...
I just wanted to write a quick post as its going to be nice and hot for a lot of us over the next week or so... Last week I was sunbathing in the garden most of the day In my bikini and only applied sun cream the once. I did get burnt on my chest and shoulders but the tops of my boobs that were exposed in my bikini went a lot redder than the rest of the area, I am putting it down to the skin being stretched and still not recovered. Now the rest of me is nice and brown but this part is still very pink! Just wanted to warn any PO ladies planning to enjoy the sun this week pop a high factor on this area to be safe. We all know we should anyway but even more so if the akin is still sensitive.
Obviously everyone is different and this is only my experience, but wanted to let you know!
Enjoy the weather though :)

Re: Sun burn...
We do advise here here lovely to keep the entire boob area covered away from the sun for 6 months pos-op due to how sensitive the newly stretched skin is.
Thank you for your post Daisy. Although its no fun having the sunburn yourself it does highlight to women just how important it is to keep covered up in this nice weather (scars need total coverage for a year) xx

Re: Sun burn...
This happened to me to! I had a v neck vest on and I went quite red on my chest which is unusual for me. Today I brought a decent factor 50 that last 6hrs! xx

Re: Sun burn...
Maybe a stupid question... I'm really fair so use a good quality sun cream and never burn - But my question is should i really be sunning my little ones so close to op (Wednesday)?
Im not topless, but i have a fab push up bikini that basically only covers my nipple and below....

Re: Sun burn...
You're fine to sunbathe your boobs babe but do take into account how drying the sun is on your skin, so make sure you're moisturising plenty to put back the moisture to help prepare the skin for stretching later
The danger is for the very newly stretched skin cheeky, it will be super sensitive to sunlight/sunbeds until the skin has 'completely' relaxed. Xx

That's why you're not supposed to expose the boobs or the chest area to the sun until you're 6 months post op x

Re: Sun burn...
Yes obviously it is best to keep the whole area covered but I have seen a few of girls on here that going on holiday a few months PO. So if you are planning to sunbathe in a bikini put a higher factor than u would usually use on any area of your boobs that might catch the sun. Xx
