waking up with 280 unders moderate
Good morning girls,
I had my BA yesterday afternoon in Belgium, my surgeon advised me to have 280 cc moderate profile unders. Well, I'm looking down at my strange swollen boobies and I think they're still really small. Does anyone else have the same implants, I'd love to know how you feel about them.
My back is really swollen and ribs too, is this normal? sleep was impossible... pain killers not working :-(
Thank you all for your support and help, I think we're all really brave ;-))

Re: waking up with 280 unders moderate
Right now Lizzy your implants are being held so tight by the newly stretched skin and muscle. Over time these will relax and release the implant allowing it to show its full potential! So don't worry about size this early post-op hun.
Pain in your back and ribs - yup, all normal. If the band of your bra is putting pressure on the swelling around your ribs you may find that a sanitary towel or a panty liner (sticky side against your bra) will help act as a cushion and ease that pain there for you. Ice packs over your boobs will help ease the booby discomfort too.
A hot water bottle will help in the small of your back as well lovely.

Re: waking up with 280 unders moderate
Hi Lizzy. A hot water bottle was my saviour for my back and being up and around walking gave me a lot of relief. Obv not too much walking! But to the toilet, around your room etc. Just listen to your body and when you are tired stop and rest again. A bag of peas of the boobies too really helped. It will get better promise. I was awake for pretty much all of the first 2 nights with my back, was worse than the actual boobs! If the painkillers aren't working ask for more to get on top of the pain. Don't let the pain get worse and worse, you won't get points for putting up with it. Are you out of hospital now?
I have 270cc implants - felt the same when the swelling had gone down and was worried they were too small, everyone kept saying they were fine! Just think what you had before, it's east to forgot! I got measured as a 32DD, but 32 is a bit snug sometimes so have a few 34D. They will change so much when the muscle relaxes. It's hard to imagine when you're feeling rubbish and everyone says it will get better, but it will!

Re: waking up with 280 unders moderate
hi lizzy,
as the girls have said above, it does get better!!
make sure to stay on top of your painkillers, taking them regularly, they are sure to kick in at some point hun.
great advice from cookie as well on padding out the band of the sportsbra if its tight... i used those round cotton wool make up pads.
and as for the size, i had 265 unders 2 weeks ago and i also still think they look small, BUT rest assured that what you see now is not the end result by any means!
over the coming months they will change so much, then drop into their final position and the skin and muscle will relax, so this early on try not to worry about size too much.
i found my turning point was day 4, so hun you will feel better very soon! x

Re: waking up with 280 unders moderate
Cookie, thank you sooooo much for the great advice, i'll try the padding and ice straight away, I'm sure this will relieve the pain.
Melstar82, brilliant idea, will try the hot water bottle this evening. I'm home in bed, the op was yesterday at 13:30, boyfriend picked me up at 18:00. Good to be home...
I'm taking Brunfen 400 and Dafalgan +codeine +Tramdol. It's quit a strong mix, but I can't feel any effect at all. Will take more Brufen, see what happens ;-)
Good to read that you too have the smaller implants and that your experiencing the same worries - looking flat and small-, you're right in saying that I need to be patient... not that easy, I keep getting up and looking in the mirror. It's amazing that they'll look sooo different in a few months... for now I find them freakish to be honest ;-))
Blueeyedsoul13, thanks for your answer, how are you feeling after two weeks, have they moving downwards at all?
I feel much beter, thanks to your answer :-))))

Thanks Hun, I'm hoping for a full C, can only cross fingers and hope it happens... but it's hard to see how todays boobies will ever get to a C... We'll have to trust all these amazing women who have been through it before us, they have the best advice :-)))) take care xx

I found mine freakish at first. Kind of coned and pointy looking . But it all changes . Soon you will just take no notice , like they've always been there.

Re: waking up with 280 unders moderate
With taking the bra off Lizzy i'd check with your PS and make sure you follow their instructions. I didn't even wear one for the first week, so it shows how they are all so different!
