Bruising
Well I took my sports bra off today and got my boyfriend to take pictures again and wow oh my god the bottom half of both boobs are black...... I just wasn't expecting it I have been taking arnica everyday before and still now. Just checking it's normal and to see roughly how long they will be black for xxx

Re: Bruising
Arnica isn't a scientifically proven medicine to aid healing hun.
I've used arnica with one surgery and not used it with another and I really can't say using arnica made any difference to my healing at all.
Some people bruise... Others don't. I bruise like a peach babe.
As long as your boobs feel OK, they aren't overly swollen, pain you can't control and hot then its fine and you have nothing whatsoever to be concerned about hun.
Don't think because you took arnica this should have stopped any bruising, as I said, there's nothing proven regarding this, so take that with a pinch of salt babe. Mine were black and blue but just fine. Xx

Thanks ladies, I'm ok thanks halo how are you doing? Trying not to take a lot of cocodamol I don't want to be blocked up haha. It's ok when I'm still but when I'm moving it can be sore. Went to the pub for tea but the journey in the car was awful xx

Re: Bruising
I think the arnica has help the bruising come out quicker as I only had it done two days ago and they are black already xx

Re: Bruising
I took the arnica, but who knows if it actually did anything! Didnt hurt to try though. Mine are a lovely yellow colour at the moment! Im mostly bruised around the scar, sternum and side ribcage, but the area of bruising on the scar was barely bigger than the dressing. Any amount of bruising is going to be normal, you've had someone rooting around in there! But it should only last a week or two, i would go by how quickly any other bruise might heal.

Re: Bruising
oh hun i hope they're not black for too long! bruises just take a week or two to get rid of don't they x
just to add about the arnica, i discovered that arnica contains lactose, and as i am dairy intolerant i decided not to take it after all though it was suggested by my clinic.
obviously it will be tiny amounts of lactose, but my pill also already contains lactose and some small amounts of dairy are not avoidable in everyday life lol so i thought i didn't want to add to that with the arnica.
i'm just going to hope for the best! x

Fair enough, I can't wait for the swelling and bruising to go down. How soon are you supposed to massage them? Xx

Re: Bruising
Hope you are okay? I bought arnica but forgot to take it and I didn't bruise at all so I think arnica isn't what it claims to be just luck of the draw xx

Re: Bruising
I went to town yesterday just to buy the bra extender and had to walk so slow. Also went to asda but felt so ill in there I just strolled behind my boyfriend while he got a few bits.
Went out for tea but it's not good being in the car especially pot holes ouchie!!!! Maybe walking it the only way really but maybe in trainers for the extra padding as I wore sandles and felt bashed every time my foot touched the floor. Going to go on a slow walk tomorrow and see if it helps. Your bruising like me then, I have stuck pads on inside of support bra that helped loads with rubbing xxx

Re: Bruising
Not really compared to normal busy life. Iv been taking it easy but making sure I do something each day even if it's just a short walk in a shop. I can't sit still ever I find it really hard to just watch tv. Put some stuff on eBay today so sat still for a while to do that.
Didn't get much sleep last night at all so been really tired today can't seem to sleep but I hate sleeping in the day. Whenever I feel tired and fall asleep I wake up a little bit later and feel wide awake again. Will be taking it a bit easier tomorrow maybe try an get sleep xxx

Re: Bruising
Some girls bruise really badly hun, I think it depends on the amount of trauma your breasts go through. There is no proof arnica works, I didn't take arnica and only had 1 bruise about the size of a 50p x I hope it goes soon though xx

Re: Bruising
Lmao at the teething toys! Needs must and all that lol. Do you have any frozen peas? Or any frozen veg for that matter? Wrap in a small towel and put on your boobies x don't be alarmed if the bruising takes a while to go, it will just depend on your body. I'm glad your feeling a little better xx
