Eeeeek! first consultation
Hey everyone
Have got a consultation on tuesday 21 may with Dan Prinsloo at Nuffield Stoke, was justwondering has anybody else had a consult with him eeitherin stoke or shrewsbury and how did it go?
I've got friends who have had ba's with him and are happy -depending on how my consult goes I'll book with him.
Do you think I need to go to other consultations etc.?

Re: Eeeeek! first consultation
It's recommended that you go to a couple of consults so you can compare.
Congratulations on booking your first consult

Re: Eeeeek! first consultation
It wouldn't hurt to see another consultant and compare clinics for aftercare etc.
I only had one consultation with a surgeon but I did go to see pcc's at other clinics. The reason I never saw another consultant was because I researched the companies and I prefered mybreast aftercare and the fact that there surgeons are all Baaps registered. I knew from researching my surgeon and meeting him he was the man for the job. x

Re: Eeeeek! first consultation
Its up to you lovely... Yes, it would be advisable to see other surgeons just so you have at least one other surgery plan to compare with 'before' making your decision. But if you feel you click with your surgeon and feel 100% confident you've done your research, you fully understand the surgery plan and are happy to agree with it and your surgeon gives you confidence that your surgeon not only reassures you that you'll get the result you're wanting but also that should you be unlucky to have a complication you feel they're approachable too.
Good luck on Tuesday hun - don't forget to tell us all about it. Xx

Re: Eeeeek! first consultation
hey hun, congrats on booking! I didn't book with any consultations with other surgeons because i had heard great reviews about him and he had all the necessary qualifications... he certainly did meet my expectation and was happy to book after my sizing appointment! :-) It depends on how u feel after... i knew straight away and most girls say the same when they meet their surgeon.. you just get "a feeling!" xx

Re: Eeeeek! first consultation
Good luck with your consult! I heard so many good things about my surgeon so i went in thinking im going to book because its so exciting. But i managed to hold myself back and did meet three other people. However, i am going with my first choice and the surgeon i met first!
So although it is a good idea to compare with a few surgeons, if you really do click with him and your happy with what he said, then you could go ahead. Other girls on here have gone with the first surgeon they have seen and have been happy.
Good luck and let us know how it goes xx

Re: Eeeeek! first consultation
Hey,
Thanks for all the messages for tuesday, I really liked the surgeon (he was recommended by a lot of friends). I took one friend with me and he remembered her and her boobs!!!!!!! I felt a bit nervous at first but now thinking about it made the right decision as the hospital is close to home just in case of any problems ( hope not). Onto the cost it should've been £4, 425.00 but said I had had a quote from a clijinc in Manchester of £3, 800.00 so yesterday got a call from customer services saying they can do it for £4,077.00. What a result!!!! If you don't ask you don't get!!!!!
I have booked a date for surgery 14 October 2013.

Hey jen,
I know was worried I wouldn't get any money off but I suppose it was due to them being quiet that time of year as others wouls want just before/ atter christmas so ready for the summer - well at least we can hide ours under baggy clothes til all healed up.
How do you get a countdown ticker?

Ticker: if you go back to the home page, scroll right to the bottom your find - Forum support and FAQS, click on that and then click on the 'making a ticker sticky and it talks you through it there :)
