Thinking about having a boob job!
Hi everyone :) I'm new here. Have been thinking about having my boobs done for ages now and I've met a few people who have had theirs done and they love them!! The reason I want mine done is because they are very 'cone' shaped... They get smaller towards the nipple if that makes any sense and I have large, puffy areolas which I hate!! So it would be mainly for shape. I would have them a little bigger though, but want them to look very natural. I am currently a C/D but don't really fill them out as my boobs aren't really round. I have a few things on my mind....
- Is the procedure really horrible?? I am scared of needles or having anything in my arms!!
- Does it make your nipples any flatter?? How does it change them?
- If you have to have them done every 10 years does this worry you??? And what about when you are older like 60?? I won't want to have a boob job at that age I don't imagine
Any tips for a newbie???

Re: Thinking about having a boob job!
Hi misswillis, I had my BA done nearly 5 weeks ago and I will never look back! The procedure is nowhere near as bad as you are imagining, I thought it was going to be awful but it was a breeze! I'm also terrified of needles but you have so much adrenaline going through your body that you don't feel any of that and before you know it, you are waking up with brand new babies! :)
What I will say though is do your research! You need to feel comfortable with what is going to happen and with the surgeon doing it so get loads of details before you go rushing into anything!
It really does do wonders for your confidence! Good luck xx

Re: Thinking about having a boob job!
Hi and welcome!
I had my BA on Monday 13th wasn't bad at all obviously ur uncomfy with pain after but the first 48hrs u don't do much anyway. I'm day 4 now and feel fine overall!
I don't know about the nipples but ur best to have a consultation tell them what u want and ask them all ur questions which I'm sure u have lots!
I had 5 consultations with 5 surgeons and I made the right decision!
They don't have a life span can last forever in some cases I believe but if u feel u want them removed or smaller as ur older then I'm sure u could!
There is lots of info on here its amazing and I'm sure cookie will be along soon with her knowledge! (She knows everything about BA)
Good luck on ur journey!

Re: Thinking about having a boob job!
Hi and welcome to the forum huni x it sounds like you have tuberous breasts hun, and a BA can definatly help with that. Make sure you do your research and choose a surgeon you feel comfortable and confident with.
This site is a fantastic place to start, lots of women having gone through the same as yourself and all willing to give advice.
Your nipples don't really change much, they look a bit bigger in the beginning but soon settle back down. I know I will need more surgery and I have already started a new "boobie" fund!
I can say, with my hand on my heart, that it is the best decision I have ever made! It has made such a big difference to my life, and the life of my family!
Good luck with your boobie journey hun xx

Re: Thinking about having a boob job!
Hi welcome to the forum, from your description of your breasts, like lisa said, it sounds as if you have tuberous breasts. I also have tuberous breasts and thats my reason for having a BA.
The procedure isn't as bad as you imagine and millions of women have it done every year. Sometimes with tuberous breasts (and normal ones) a uplift may be required also but once you have met a few surgeons, your have all of the answers to those type of questions!
Im 21 so the fact that i will need further surgery down the line was a big factor for me to consider. personally, i will have a boobie fund where i put money aside each month for re-ops. Its a comitment you are making for the rest of your life so you do need to be prepared for this, however if your serious about a BA, this is a commitment many of us are happy to make and after having the BA, all of the girls here have said its the best thing they have ever done!
Next step for you is to book some consults, meet some surgeons and they will be able to advise you on your tuberous breasts.
I cant wait to sort mine out and am hoping to have my op after my holiday in august so keep us updated and we can go through it all together :) x

Hello and welcome to Breast Buddies misswillis
As you're pre BA you might find the information we have in the 'Breast Augmentation Information' section of the forum of interest to you. Its filled with so much to help you better understand the procedure and to help yourself feel better prepared. Any questions or concerns you might have just ask away in the 'General Breast Augmentation' section of the forum were no BA questions ever go unanswered and our lovely ladies will always be more than happy to help you if they can.
From your information it does sound like your breasts are 'tuberous' hun. If you type that into the search bar at the top of the forum you should find plenty of threads for you to have a read through from women with the same breasts as yourself.
Enjoy the forum misswillis

Re: Thinking about having a boob job!
Hi and welcome, you've done the right thing coming onto this site, there's no where better for all the info you need, as well as the consultations of course. I'm hoping to have mine done in December and I'm 25 so I'll probably need a few re-op's in my lifetime but as jenniferrf1 said, I'm also going to have a monthly BA fund which I'll always put money in, It's a commitment I've decided I'm willing to make to get nice boobs good luck with your researching xx

Re: Thinking about having a boob job!
Hi! I'm quite new here too :)
our boobs sound IDENTICAL... mine aren't tuberous either but are pointy with large nipples (almost like what they are like when you go through puberty with the swollen nipples, and not loads of breast tissue. Through the thousands of pictures of boobs i've looked at I haven't seen any that are the same kind of shape as mine but yours sound similar! I am hoping that when I get my BA (end of next year) I get a more rounded look.
when are you looking to get yours done? Good luck with all your research I hope you find a nice surgeon! x

Re: Thinking about having a boob job!
there are loads of different degrees of tuberous breasts, my right breast was only midly tuberous, and it was like you say more pointy, lacking upper and lower pole. It was so mild, that i didn't even notice it until a surgeon pointed it out! My BA really was the best thing i've ever done. They're such a great shape now!

Re: Thinking about having a boob job!
Ah maybe they are slightly tuberous then! Does the op cost more? And do you think the puffy nipple problem would be sorted out by the stretching of skin??

Hi, welcome to the forum. Our boobs sound very similar. The puffy nipples can be sorted by a separate surgery but its best seeing a surgeon for an opinion.xx

Re: Thinking about having a boob job!
Yer your find out all of this when you see the surgeon, the opp for tuberous breasts doesnt cost more. If you do have it ( sounds like you might not have, or if you do very mild) then you do not need another op and it doesnt cost more. In cases where the boobs are more tuberous then some girls need a uplift and or a areola reduction but it sounds like you will be fine :)x

Re: Thinking about having a boob job!
Aww yer that is a bit annoying for you. Its not idealbut for example, cardiff to birmingham is around a 2 hour drive i think and thats where The hospital group have a hospital so you would be an overnight case and if you didn't want to travel the next day, you could always stay in a B&B the next night until you feel more up to the drive.
Thats only an example obv and not the ideal, but you could have other options if you look at it like that, a few girls on here do have a long drive home. Mine will be around an hour xx
