Back problems :-(
Are there any girls who had a BA and at the same time suffered with lower back aches. I injured my back in February 2012 and have had bad back aches since. Although I feel much better now, I have days when it hurts quite a bit :-( My physio said that with time the pain will go but it is still there. I wanted to have my BA last year but had to postpone it due to my back problems.
Any advice? My op is booked for December this year and I can't wait xx

Re: Back problems :-(
I have back problems Blondie.
A BA isn't going to change the fact that you have problems with your back. As long as you don't have plans to go very big which may put strain on your back there won't be any problem at all with your BA.
I'm currently wheelchair bound and suffer pain everyday... I could have put off revision until a time when I was maybe in a better place, but after almost losing my life a couple of years ago I realise that life is short sweetheart and if you want something - do it whilst you can! But you have to WANT it.
With back pain like you describe you simply can't plan for when you will have good days hun, so if you do want this and you're otherwise medically fit, pain or no pain, I'd go for it. (Well I did didnt I lol)
But that's me hun and my personal opinion. You have to so what's right for you. Xx

Oh thank you for reply cookie xx
I started wearing implant sizers everyday (300 cc each) to get used to the additional weight. My back ached at the beginning but I'm getting used to it more and more xx
I hope you will feel better soon hunni xx

Re: Back problems :-(
I suffer from a bad back, and always have. I don't find the BA has affected this for the worse. I don't suffer any more than I did pre BA. However in the first couple of weeks I suffered quite a bit of back ache, this was due to my posture and sleeping position. I found pain killers and a hot water bottle were a god send.
Re: Back problems :-(
It's reassuring that there are girls out there who have had back problems prior BA and it has not worsened afterwards.
My physio says that 300 cc (600 cc all together) shouldn't affect me too much.
Thanks for the input girls!!
I still cannot believe that I've injured myself so bad at the gym.. it goes to show that too much exercise is worse than no exercise at all :-(
