Give your clinic a quick ring hun, they will be able to advise you! All surgeons are different, I wasn't allowed to wear wires until I was 6 weeks post op, and I still have to wear sports bras at night x so I would ring and check, better to be safe than sorry x

Re: help! sports bra and wired bras!
Stay in your sportsbra until you're confident you have the right post-op guidance babe.
Whilst boobs are healing they require the stability they get from a sportsbra, some heal earlier than others and wired bras are recommended by surgeons anything from day 1 post-op to around 3 months post-op, but its all based on your personal healing and for the good of your healing to enable you to get the best result possible its best to follow the instruction your surgeon gives and if you're at all unsure do as you are hun and go back and ask... In the meantime though it would probably be best to keep your boobs supported. Xx

I am wearing wires, but only on the advise of my surgeon hun! I agree with cookie, you should definatly be wearing the sports bra until you have it confirmed by your surgeon that it's ok to go braless at night x

I would wear your sports bra to bed every night regardless to keep boobs supported and to prevent sagging.

I was advised at 6 weeks I could wear wires and that I don't have to wear my sports bra to bed. But its best to check with your surgeon hun, you don't wanna be doing the wrong thing. x

Re: help! sports bra and wired bras!
I was advised the same as Daisydee - at 6 weeks post-op, wires as long as I am comfortable (some find they can bother the scars causing discomfort), and no bra at night unless I want to.
Good support is recommended in general.
I asked directly if wires cause any damage and my ps answered no.
Hope this helps!
