i have to go to a couple of smart events at the end of august and will be 4/5 weeks post op..... would i be allowed to wear a non wired bra or a smaller (pull over your head type) sports bra instead of the giant M&S one im wearing at the moment??? or is that not a good idea???

Re: non wired bras....
For a couple of evenings you should be fine......non wired and supportive. I would put you sports bra on on return though, or in your bag perhaps ... just in case you ache slightly. But there are some nice very supportive bras around.
Good Luck and enjoy xx

You'll probably be OK with a nice non-wired bra just for one evening. You might find your boobs are a bit achey afterwards though - they do like their support while their healing up! :) xx

Re: non wired bras....
You should be ok hun, i wore a wired bra for the night at 4 weeks but i was quiet achey aftetwards so make sure you get a good non wired one with plenty of support, like mia said its a good idea to take a sports bra as well just incase.

.x. im sure that would be fine. i went out only a few weeks after my op, about 3 or 4 i think without a bra on at all, just in a tight fitting dress that kind of held them in place anyway. i was fine and just put my sport bra back on as soon as i got home. .x.

I think you'll be fine as you're 4/5 weeks post op. I went out a few times after 2 weeks and wore a normal bra and then put my surgical bra back on straight afterwards. Like the others, I did have some achiness too x
