Feeling human again! Empty Feeling human again!

Post by sianyoungx 6th May 2013, 8:37 am

So I'm one week post op and finally feel like myself again! The first 5 days were quite hideous for me - I think I was so busy worrying about the general aneasthetic I didn't think too much into how I would feel immediately post op! I was so tired, constipated and generally felt like a zombie lol my boobs felt like they were strapped to my chest and I felt miserable. However day 6 (yesterday) really was a turning point and I feel so much better today.

Boobs are still a bit high and swollen (incisions sore) but thanks to this forum I know that's all normal. Been getting to sleep quite well thanks to my trusty v pillow so that's good!

I'm just so grateful for this forum because its a constant reassurance and it puts my mind at ease knowing you ladies have been through the same things!

My first post op appointment is Thursday which I'm a bit anxious about because my incisions and bottom/side of boobs is tender and sore. Hopefully ill be able to get a shower though lol washing my hair over the bath is driving me insane!!!!!

Great to read you're feeling better lovely.... Most feel that after that first week they hit a turning a turning point and things just continue to improve from there... Many changes still ahead, but all for the good. Xx

Great news sian. The soreness under boobs and incisions is normal. I had that and asked my surgeon when I saw him last week, he's said its fine. Since seeing him its eased off and my boobs just feel normal now, I forget their there halfhalf the time!! good luck for Thursday x
