To sleep or not to sleep
Hi ladies
Having Ba uplift on Tuesday one of the things I'm really worried about is sleeping. I'm a classic front sleeper. I struggle to sleep on my back always end up on my front or side. Does anyone have any advise. How can I be comfortable and sleep on my back?

Re: To sleep or not to sleep
Hi angie, I'm the same as u, classic front sleeper or any position but the back! Lol I'd say get the V pillow, I managed to sleep on my back without turning once for 5 weeks and very comfortable too. Just prop urself up and put a pillow under each arm to prevent turning xx

I am the same. I always go to sleep on my tummy. Like the girls mentioned, I'm hoping the V pillow will keep me propped up and on my back!! xx

Re: To sleep or not to sleep
I am ye same and I totally couldn't even think about sleeping on my back but once I had had it done I made myself a best of pillows at first it were so in comfy but once I'd slept on them a few nights they softened. But honestly once you have had it done you won't even think about sleeping on your front it's like your body knows that it will hurt so you just don do it. Just like sneezing I have not sneezed since my op everytime I feel it coming it just goes Becase my body knows it will hurt. Don't worry about it get yourself alode of pillows I think I have 8 pillows because I didn't bother with a v pillow but I wish I had bought one now xxx

Re: To sleep or not to sleep
Hiya. I was exactly the same always slept on my front pre op and I was really worried about it!
I got myself a v pillow and it has been a total life saver! You must get one... They are cheap in tesco! I still sleep on my back with it now, that's how comfy it is. I haven't had any urge to sleep on my front, but I am sleeping o. My side comfortably now. Xx

Re: To sleep or not to sleep
oh good news about side sleeping. I'm mainly a side sleeper.
on the subject of sleeping on your front, have you tried it yet? I only ask because I wonder how you stand with back massage? I have sport massages and I've thought it may be difficult post op to have them? xx

Re: To sleep or not to sleep
Jade u just reminded me about sneezing!! Lol. After reading on here how much it hurt to sneeze I was once soon after the op just about to sneeze and then remembered that it'll hurt just shouted to myself NO! Out of nowhere lol
Well that worked but my kids looked at me like
Vix I've tried lying down on my front for my girl to massage my back. It's ok I am a bit self conscious but it's not painful

Re: To sleep or not to sleep
I have tried the front sleeping, I was almost fully on my front last night, like angie it's not painfull! Just a bit weird! I was sort of flat on one boob and had the other cushioned by my V pillow lol! X

Re: To sleep or not to sleep
I have tried it last week, and its ok, I dont think I would feel comfortable for a whole night like that, but for a massage I would think u would be ok.
I saw on TOWIE once Amy was saying someone should invent massage beds with holes for boobs because so many people in essex have book jobs!.... haha clearly it would be a good idea!

Re: To sleep or not to sleep
I've been tryong to front sleep but I don't think it will ever be the same you really do need to have minimal boobies for it to feel good, these big ones ust get in the way and you need you arms to raise yourself a bit so they dont get squashed. Just doesnt have the same effect.

Re: To sleep or not to sleep
Daisy I was just thinking that the other day!!
Ktwin when I wanted to make myself feel better about my tiny boobies I'd say at least I can sleep on my front, which I loved
Thanx Vix, with boobies now I just started having completely unreasonable fears lol like that they'd turn into a uniboob in the beginning or that they'll pop or fall off!! now I'm just worried I'd do damage I know I'm laying on something that wasn't there before and that makes me self conscious xx

Re: To sleep or not to sleep
uni boob hilarious!!
I think your fear about lying on them is totally rational. It names sense to be conscious of it and be careful xx

Re: To sleep or not to sleep
V-Pillows are a must for after a BA. They really are amazing to not only help you get comfortable early BA but to also help with the transition to side sleeping too.
To stop yourself rolling, a pillow under your knees and one under each arm will help stop this. Xx
Front sleepers - when I had my first BA I was able to sleep on my front no problem! The skin around my implants was looser though. No saggy lol. There was just plenty of breast tissue surrounding them. I lost a lot of breast tissue after the capsulectomy and have smaller implants and although I can sleep on my front, its no longer comfortable now my boobs are tighter. I'm a side sleeper now... You do get used to the change. Xx
