holiday
My 12 weeks after op will be 27th august the holiday I am looking at is 26th august do you think this would be ok and my surgeon would see me early for my 12 weeks? Or should I not risk it and go later?

Re: holiday
You could go as long as you see your surgeon first and he says it's ok to ditch sports bra in the day, go swimming, etc, but you won't be able to sunbathe in bikini or anything. You've got to keep your boobs and chest completely covered from the sun until 6 months x

Re: holiday
I am in the exact same scenario. My surgery is booked for June 5th and I go on holiday on the 27th August (so literally 1 day before my 12 weeks too!) Apparently this is fine as long as you get the all clear from the surgeon - I was advised to book holiday insurance which covers cosemetic surgery (type JS cosmetic surgery insurance in online It is reasonable prices!)
I intend on bringing tankini's or bikinnis with a thicker band line to make sure my scars are fully covered! :)

Re: holiday
No, it's not just the scars that must be covered.. Scars must be covered for a year and boobs/chest for 6 months. So definitely best to leave hot sunny sunbathing holidays until after 6 months x

Re: holiday
Happyday1,i was just 7 months when I went abroad and did wear a bikini which covered scar plus total sunblock on scars then factor 15 on chest, normally have fac 4!! I didn't burn but I have slightly dark skin so I suppose it would burn if your very pale skinned !!xxx

Re: holiday
Thanks sparky I will just cover up I had no idea that u couldn't expose your skin and boobs to the sun I'm going to Egypt so it will be really hot - I am really disappointed as always hide away in my bikini and thought this year would be different but I guess it's not worth it there is always next year!!

Re: holiday
I am going on holiday 12 weeks after my op and my surgeon said its fine. He said after 6 weeks treat your breasts as normal. I was worried because I have 3 active boys so i never get a chance to relax. Im in and out the water all day!! It will also be very hot so I will wear lots of suncream which I always do anyway x
