I've just checked through all of Transofrms surgeons and none of them are full members of BAAPS.
The only memberr I could find that could possible be a 'junior' member (this is a surgeon in training - not yet a full member) could be Saif Khan. Was this the surgeon you meant hun?
If it was, then yes, you'll be able to haggle babe because they are NOT a full member of BAAPS
The only surgeons who are BAAPS members are actually listed on the BAAPS website. If a surgeon claims to be a junior member do ensure you check, but as I said, junior members are NOT full members and therefore will not be listed. x

In the end I got a £1000 off at MYA and paid £3,595 instead of £4,595 as the PC kind of dropped herself in it lmao!! And THG said they'd price match with any other company, but I found who I wanted at MYA and never looked back xx
hi jen, definitely haggle! i did it after reading about it on here.
angie's discount is FAB, but i think there was a late booking discount included there as well, is that right angie?
i just emailed my pcc at THG who has been fab throughout, and said that transform had offered me 3,995 and though i was very happy with the THG surgeon i did have to look at the cost as well.
(THG's original quote to me was 4,595), so then she said she would have to ask management, and then she came back to me the next day saying she could go down to 4,295, so a discount of 300quid, but that they couldn't match transform's price with natrelles as that was their (THG) price for CUIs..
seeing as i was really happy with the surgeon and the clinic/pcc, and i was dependent on her telling me the surgeon's dates for my chosen month as soon as they were available because i had such a small window of availability, i decided not to push the matter any further, i was happy with 300quid off because its better than nothing and i just saw it as an added bonus, to be invested in macoms and vpillows and the like!
good luck hun x

Sorry for the late reply Cookie working shifts! just got back on pc. The surgeon is Ben Chew Glasgow but consults from transforms Edinburgh office, his qualifications seem quite impressive. Xcookie wrote:Who is the surgeon lovely?

Re: Does haggling price of BA work? Tips?
Yes that's right blueeyedsoul! A big part of my discount was due to late booking and I was offered £500 for late space but she said she could push it to £650. But when I went back and my PC was on leave I saw another and was discussing discount, anyway there was a misunderstanding and to cut the story short she said that the maximum amount if discount they're allowed to give was £1000. So I said ok then I want a £1000
I know it was cheeky and she must have kicked herself for it after but hey it's a late space, it could've gone unused and then they wouldn't have made any money at all

Ben Chew ISN'T a member of BAAPS sweetie. Xx
He is however a member of BAPRAS. BAPRAS is a good membership though
Re: Does haggling price of BA work? Tips?
Another blonde moment! thought they were both the same but on checking the only difference being that the one with the R in it is qualified to do reconstructive work as well asthetic. As he's with Transorm as well as BMI etc do you think there's a chance of haggling in it. Here's me getting carried away just want to get these boobs of mine sorted, can't really think straight , once I get a bee in my bonnet tend to obsess abit. Will see what ps says Thursday and then explore options. X

Re: Does haggling price of BA work? Tips?
There is always room for haggling. I ended up going with one of the smaller commercial clinics (with BAAPS BAPRAS surgeon ) He also works for mya. they use the same hospitals that mya use but were more than £1,000 cheaper. I also get to see him, rather than a nurse at follow up appointments. I also got an offer of £850 off from mya. If you don't feel confident haggling in person, it's perfectly acceptable to do it on the phone or through email. Good luck xx
