scars "knitted together" ??
was told at my post op appt on the 2nd that the steri strips she applied to my scars would fall off naturally within 5 - 7 days however they are still stuck on tight! emailed my clinic and was told to gently pull them off in the shower and if the scars look like they're 'knitted together' then leave them be but if they look like they could do with 'more time with tape' to get some steri strips from chemist and put them back on
what does 'knitted together' or 'could do with more tape' look like ?!?!?!

Use a mirror or get someone else to take a look for you hun. If the scar doesn't seem to have any openings anywhere and looks to have healed (scabbed over if there was any oozing) and after removing the strips doesn't feel like there's any tension on the incision then you're good to go lovely. If you had no problems with your incision at all at 4 weeks post-op you should be fine though. Xx
Re: scars "knitted together" ??
Think knitted means completely closed over hun. Think the risk comes with maybe taking some of the scabs off with the steristrips so if that does happen then to just reapply some but otherwise leave them be and wait for the scabs to fall off next x
Re: scars "knitted together" ??

I took my steri strip at day 15 and no problems, felt weird for first day but healing nicely. So have u been keeping them on even if they get wet after a shower? x

Yeah overall i'm doing well. Still can't sleep on my side :( can do about an hour but then it feels weird :( no idea what size lol im in my macom. i was in a 36d sports bra at first but am now back to 34band so i guess technically that would be 34dd but not sure if cups were swollen too. Only 2 weeks til i can get measured nope no dropping yet! i've got unders tho so will take longer for me.
