help! what are these marks?! Empty help! what are these marks?!

just discovered these strange marks on my boobs. They look like scratches?! i have no idea where they came from as i'm in a macom which is seamless ... is it some strange reaction to the micropore tape?! are they stretch marks?! don't know if i should put bio oil on them or what?! should i be concerned?! should i email my nurse?! should i leave the micropore tape off?!?! ahhhhh!!!

as you can see from my profile pic, they were not there before (that pic was taken 2 days ago... mum & OH don't think they're stretch marks but i've never had them before so idk?!

aww im not sure hun, but stretch marks all normally follow the same line... but yours are going different directions.

They look similar to the marks my hubby gets on his shoulders when hes weight lifting from the pressure of straps... any chance macom could be to tight? (i know prob not). Sorry i cant be much help x

Newboobz you've been itchy haven't you? I had these all over from scratching like a maniac I freaked that they were stretch marks!

Could it be possible you've been scratching in your sleep hun?

They don't appear to be anything to be concerned about hun, but could be the bruising coming out from the dressings you had on as you said it was quite sore coming off.

I think its either that or you've scratched yourself babe.

If they haven't settle in a couple of days and you're very concerned then it doesn't take a Moment hun to call your clinic and ask for advise. Xx

Omg cazzy u life saver!! I've been itching round there yes totally. Cookie you're right I must be scratching in my sleep or without realising! :doh: crikey . :/ gona leave the tape off tho cos I think that's what's been irritating the skin n making me scratch. So glad it's not stretch marks!!

They dont look like stretch marks.... maybe you are sensitive to the tape. I have to keep micropore on my scars for 12 weeks and I had to last time but I was told the longer you keep it on the more likely you are to become sensitive to it and if you do become sensitive its better to remove the tape as it can actually impede the healing process by aggrevating the wound and it can cause the wound to breakdown. I would definately speak to your clinic and let them know so that they can advise you and then you can do as they say without risking voiding your aftercare!

thanks 5sd, i was actually meant to be given another type of dressing at bmi so when they gave me micropore i emailed the nurse at my clinic and she said micropore was still fine to use, unless i had a reaction to it and in that case to go to my pharmacy and ask them to provide me with something more suitable. Getting my hair cut tomorrow and there's a pharmacy next door so will pop in and speak to the pharmacist xx

Where the skin is stretched it's more sensitive to markings. Your also numb so you can scratch hard without realising! My boobs were insanely itchy for aaages I always used to get funny looks having a good old scratch lol. Xox
