Having a bit of a panic about covering incisions..
Hey girls, i'm having my stitches taken out in the morning and have been following the strict instructions - don't get them wet, keep the plasters on etc, but in the really hot weather my plasters have started to peel off and work themselves up and so now my incisions aren't really securely covered. I don't have anything to replace the big plasters with which they put on, do you think i'll be ok with just this scabby one on until I have my stitches taken out in the morning?
I might be being really silly and over dramatic, but you know how when something isn't quite right, you panic!!
I've just positioned my Royce bra so that the band is much lower than the incisions and the half-on plasters so that no dirt can get it during the night.
Any help would be great! Thank you!! xxxx

Mine started peeling off too hun and my ps said it was fine as they were going to get changed soon anyway, you could always get a little sellotape and stick it back on around the edges

Yeah leave them on, they always peal off a bit. You can put a plaster over the bits that have peeled to hold them down if you like. Mine did the same.

Thank you!!
So reassuring to know it's happened to other people too and it doesn't matter.
I just took my sports bra off and could see my stitches and freaked out a little bit!!

I used micropore tape to try and stick the dressings back down as mine lifted too. I'm sure you'll be fine if you've only got to last until the morning.

You should be fine until you see the nurse...but if she wants to put another dressing on ask for a few spares...thats what I did today. Just incase they came off again!
