Last hole FINALLY healing!

Those that have been here for a while already know my story but for any newbies wondering what I'm on about I have an allergy to dissolvable sutures (only found out AFTER the op) so I've had open wounds where there the stitches has infected. I'm almost five months post-op now and I haven't gone on about it because I hate whinging lol but it really has been hard with them at first needing to be scraped everyday and having to go up and down the clinic like a yo-yo until I was able to start dressings the wounds with the inodine dressings myself which has been horrible having clean the sluff away all this time and I've just took my dressing off to shower and the last hole underneath leftie is at last starting to scab around the edges! This may sound stupid getting all excited about a 'scab' haha but it really has been awful and at one point the holes were so big we thought they'd need restitching, but thankfully although its been a long round I can see light at the end of the tunnel and now this has started to scab, if it follows how the other holes healed it will be quite quick to heal now. Woohooooo!

Just thought I'd tell ya 'cos this is the best news I've had in a long time xx

I havnt known your story but i am so impressed that you've suffered yet managed to advise and reassure others all without feeling the need to moan or vent about your own problems!

Awww thank you kfs... It was just a matter of 'having to get on with it' really, so no point moaning away lol. I too hope they continue getting better now. Just can't wait to get rid of the dressings which will hopefully be in a couple of days now woohoo! X

Thanks girlies I've took the dressing off twice to make sure my eyes aren't deceiving me but got a telling off from hubby now to leave them alone or I'll be back to square 1... Oooo I love him when he gets all masterful
