Nipples
Does anyone know how long it will take for my nipple sensation to come back? I know there's a chance they may not. But they are puffy and look odd at the mo xx

Re: Nipples
I started to get a very small amout back on onesideI think. Also, when I sneezed yesterday I had really bad electric shocks to them. I'm taking it as a good sign! X
Re: Nipples
Worrying about nipple sensation returning at this stage in your recovery just isn't worth it babe.
Full loss of sensation is a minimal risk when having a BA, the risks are higher I'd you have any incisions around the nipple, but to be honest lovely the risks are that small that in the 3 years plus I've been here I know of only 2 women who have had full loss of nipple sensation out of the 'thousands' of women who have come through.
As Princess said, it can take up to a year or more for full sensation to return, generally as the swelling starts subsiding and the nerves start healing you start to get a little or for some a lot of sensation in the nipples, but when this happens?.... Well, we all heal differently babe and therefore sensation will start to return at different times for each of us.
You're very early days though hun, so just relax and enjoy the time you have to relax, 'cos before long you'll be back to doing your day to day things...give it time babe. Xx
