Maxcleavage.....anti boob job email
Hi girls,
I used to buy all my underwear from maxcleavage and today I received an email stating why not to get it done. Tbh I didn't think it was all accurate.
Obv this is to keep their sales up.
I considered surgery myself a long time ago and it was one of the reasons I started MaxCleavage.com. I'm not in favour of breast surgery for many reasons (listed below) mainly I suppose because we speak to lots of ladies after surgery when it's gone wrong, we try to help build their confidence back up.
1. Many ladies with large breasts wish they had small ones! If only we could all swap for a day!
2. It can be difficult to monitor the health of the breast when implants are in place. An acquaintance of mine had to have her implants removed due to a growth under one of them. She has been left with scarred, shapeless breasts.
3. There is no guarantee that your body will accept implants. If it does reject them, they have to be removed. Can you imagine having to pay to have them removed as well as the initial cost of putting them in? The bill could run into thousands!
4. They sometimes find cultures of microorganisms growing inside saline implants when they're removed. This is worrying given that the newest implants contain vegetable oil... it could spoil. Saline, at least, is not a nutritious meal for bacteria. Even the silicone gel ones sometimes get some kind of mildew looking stuff growing inside them... and each new fluid they've tried has been friendlier to micro organisms than the last one was.
5. Many breast implant operations leave the breasts looking crooked and uneven.
6. Any surgery on breasts can damage nerves and reduce skin sensation. The amount of loss is unpredictable. The damage can't be reversed. Attempts to reduce this effect have a trade-off: they increase the visibility of the surgical scar. Complete numbness of the nipple is not unknown. In a smaller number of cases, the side effect is the opposite: painful hypersensitivity to touch.
7. Boob jobs cost several thousands of pounds. If you haven't got this money, then giving yourself implants means that you are depriving yourself of something else, which might do you more good! One of our customers saved for years for breast implant surgery, then used this money for a holiday of a lifetime instead when she found our website and took one of our gel filled bikinis on her holiday!
8. Lastly implants have to be replaced usually after 7 years. Within this time, life could have changed dramatically; you might have children or a new baby. You may not be able to afford to have them replaced. What happens then??
We'd love to hear opinions, stories or info about this subject as we do get so many people talk to us about it. All info shared is of course confidential and we would never disclose names etc.
Maybe its just me. I'm still getting them done.

Wow I'm not impressed by a company like MaxCleavage sending out such alarmist inaccurate rubbish! Very unprofessional !
They could have come up with a nice motivational piece about why its good to have small boobs, but no they're spreading nastiness instead.

Don't know what to say about this tbh, but it sounds a little far fetched in some cases and a little dramatic. I have never heard of implants harbouring bacteria which grows inside them. I could be wrong but I never have. Some of it is just common sense like not being able to afford further surgery, rejecting implants.
Theres pros and cones with everything, including food we eat, drugs we take, drinks we drink, creams and lotions and potions.
Never heard od maxcleavage but I get what it is and I don't know how they would be allowed to say this in newsletters. x

i bought all my bikinis from there pre-ba
i did point out to them as a retailer they should in no way be offering medical advice, irrespective of whether it is accurate or not and I have forwarded their email to the ASA, its highly unethical to be trying to promote their products in that way, im gobsmacked!

Re: Maxcleavage.....anti boob job email
absolutely pathetic...any company that uses this type of tactic to boost sales cant be any good at drumming up trade in the first place! what about girls with asymmetry (like myself), tuberous breasts, empty boobs after breastfeeding?? does this firm honestly think that everyone has boob jobs just coz they want a bigger size?? i already wear padded bras and although they give me a smoother balanced shape, but sadly they cant perform a miracle and rectify my severe asymmetry! surgery is my last resort as i dont want to put my body through it but ive waited almost 15 years, allowed my boobs ample time to develop, even lost weight to try and rectify the problem - didnt work, so surgery is really my only choice, despite the risks it can pose. i find that email very patronising, especially for us girlies on the forum who carry out thorough research from the surgeon right through to implant types and post-surgery changes.
kenzie - if you do complain, feel free to use my post! xx

Well done you!
Sensationalism at its best! they've done exactly what the tabloids do when it comes to talking dare I say it.....BOOB JOBS! *gasp* They take a tiny bit of truth and then spice that up with whatever they think is going to sell!
Idiots.
Re: Maxcleavage.....anti boob job email
Thank you lumpybumpy ,I will def quote you.
Its surprising because BA are so common these days yet companies and general media still feel the need to write *&%£ !
I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought it was crap.

Re: Maxcleavage.....anti boob job email
How ridiculous! The thing I find most insulting is that it talks to the reader like none of those things have occured to us before..! Anything "unatural" is a trade off. Yes, things could go wrong, but we are by and large well informed, intelligent ladies making informed choices about our bodies. No one elses business.
Shameless isn't it. And although the maxcleavage products are great if you cant or don't want to have surgery, or while youre waiting for your op but it's not going to be for everyone.

My next idea would be a list of reasons why those risks are worth not using their products anymore, and actually one of their gel bras gave me eczema in my nipple and every bikini I've had from them has had the wire stick out after 1 wear, I reckon we hijack their social media
