Itching driving me mad
Oh my well 4 days post op and my boobs are soo so itchy the are driving me crazy, on the plus side im feeling so much better and not needing any pain relief at all How long will this itching last?

Hi KA x I'm 19 days post op and it's still driving my crazy! I think itching is good, I'm sure I read that itching means healing x also your skin has been stretched and that also causes itching xx glad your feeling better generally x

Thanks Lisa, maybe once iv seen the nurse nxt wk I can use moisturiser maybe that will help. Are you putting anything on yours?

No my surgeon told me not to use anything on them until I've seen him at 6 weeks x but every surgeon gives different advice! X

oh the dreaded itch,, i was told i could put moisturiser on them but not go near my scars (stitches) i used a 100% natural one with no perfume etc hope the itching stops soon xxx

Your fine to put moisturiser on your boobs girls, just not near your incisions until you get the all clear to massage scars from your surgeon.
The itching is the due to the nerves healing. Its a horrible sensation. Some find ice packs help through this stage, placing the ice packs or a bag of frozen peas/rice/corn on the top of your boobs, others find an anti-histamine helps. Xx
