I've found a lump - Devestated :-(
So, it's just my luck that two weeks before my operation that this should happen!
I'd been following the advice of some of you lovely ladies and started 'preparing' my boobs for surgery with bio oil, and this is how I've come to discover a lump in my left breast :-(
I saw my doctor today who has decided to refer me to a consultant at my local hospital, he said it could just be a cyst but he wants to rule out anything more sinister. So now i have to have fluid drained from the lump and tested!
It will take two weeks for an appointment which will pretty much take me up to my .BA date of 24 march. Then after that I'll have to wait for the results. I'm so upset but i know i can't realistically go ahead with my surgery until i know everything is ok. Cannot believe this is happening right now, so unlucky!

Sorry to hear this, I know it's hard but try not to worry yourself. It's probably nothing and hopefully you will get your BA soon. All the best for your appointment x

Thanks girls. I just find utterly unbelivable that this should happen to me now! But i suppose if i hadn't been religiously rubbing bio oil on my boobs iwouldnt have found it.....small mercies and all that. Just gutted but health comes first x

Sorry to hear that, but try not to worry too much about the lump, in mat cases they are just cysts. I have one which they found just before my BA, so I understand how you feel xxx big hugs x

I'm so sorry hun I can't even imagine how scary finding a lump must be and then to have to put your surgery on hold while you get back the results must be so difficult to take at the moment. I'm sure it will be good news and just a cyst but try not worry.

Re: I've found a lump - Devestated :-(
Hi selena,
just wanted to say a lil thank you really. I'v been putting my lump off as i was worried it would interfere with my boobie op and iv had a very similar lump (hard, slightly movable pin head lump) which turned out to be a cyst so i'm not too worried as im 99% certain this is the same. I thought i could just worry about it after my surgery. But after reading your post, and realizing how selfish i was being, i thought, if you can do it so can i.
So i just phoned and luckily as i'm a previous patient i can go direct without needing a gp referral and they have got me in for the 20th of this month (a week before my next apt with my surgeon) :)
I'm sure if your explain your situation they can rush you through or give you a cancellation?.
I hope you can push through quickly and get it all sorted ;) It will be fine x x

Re: I've found a lump - Devestated :-(
Thank you for all your lovely comments ladies, it really does mean alot!
I am a little dissapointed with Transform really though, I don't know what I was expecting but my PC just left me feeling like I'd caused her some great inconvenience. Not surprising really, I have been less than enamoured with their service so far!
I have an appointment at the breast clinic of my local hospital on the 26th March (my BA was scheduled for 24th March), so I'm going to wait for my test results before I reschedule! My GP does seem to think its a cyst but we all think the worst in these situations.
KFS - You have definitely done the right thing going to get it checked. I contemplated just 'forgetting about it', but it really isn't worth the potential risk to your health......so well done for getting it seen to!
So it's all just a waiting game now girls.....no doubt when my cancelled boobie day comes round I will be a little depressed, but it's nothing that several tubs of Ben and Jerry's wont fix!!!!
xxxxx

Re: I've found a lump - Devestated :-(
Hi hun.
Very sorry to hear this news! I couldnt imagine how peed off I would be right about now. But your health comes first and as mentioned earlier, you wouldnt have known had you not been using the bio oil, so things happen for a reason. You'll be fine and at least you will go into your next op date knowing you have healthy breasts!
