What is the implant made up of - the details Empty What is the implant made up of - the details

I know the filler is silicone, but how do I find out where the silicone is manufactured? How it is made, what the outer shell material is, where and how that is produced.

I want to know about every single thing that has gone into the making of my implant and where it is made.

Does anyone know how i find that out?

I'd have a look at the manufacturers website. You can also contact them too. I know allergans website is very good. Maybe try YouTube for a how it's made video.

You could always try reading through the implant catalogues [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] there's generally quite a bit of information in reading those, or like misf1 said, try their website or contact direct. Xx

Not anal at all hun. I think the whole PIP scandal has opened all of our eyes up to dangers of cosmetic surgery and I personally don't think you can do enough research for yourself before having surgery. The more research you do, the more informed you are before making your decision. Xx
