I personally don't believe in all these fad diets. I just think a healthy diet and lots of excercise is all that's needed to get you back in shape hun. You said yourself your diet is bad so you already know were you're going wrong.
Sticking to a healthy diet will also help your healing too babe. Xx

I second what Cookie says and recommend the myfitnesspal app. You can set it to what you want to lose (1lb a week?) then just track everything you eat and all your exercise (which you eat back) and you can eat what you like. I've dieted for 17 years and this is the only thing that's worked for me... X

I would try and eat clean. Cut out processed food and try and eat as healthy as possible. Drink lots of water and with all that exercise oyu will be grand! x

Hiya love! I am doing the same! Hoping to have a BA in July and intending to eat clean, as Jay suggested, until then to lose around 20 lbs. I would also recommend Slimming World. We can be diet buddies! xx

I had another thought, if you have a tendency to y to yoyo (no reason why you should but I totally did for years and years) it's worth finding a "diet" you know you can make a permanent part of your lifestyle because I think the look of your BA can be compromised if you lose or gain too much afterwards.

What about the 5 2 diet. A lot of people do it for health reasons not just weight loss but it is supposed to be great for helping lose excess weight and is not too hard. You eat normally for 5 days a week but only 500 cals for two non consecutive days. I found it ok as I knew I could eat what I wanted the next day! My mum does this once a week just to keep her insides healthy. Might be worth reading up on???

I've been using the fitness pal app and logging what I eat and trying to stick within daily calorie intake along with gym 3 times a week. I've not changed the foods I eat but stopped eating in excess of daily calories. Currently lost 5lbs in3 weeks! Hoping to carry on with this post op too but without the exercise. X

when i had my eating disorder and was in care of dietician/nutritionist I HAD to eat at least 2000 calories a day
Now i still stick to this but healthy calories of that makes sense, i know when i havent had enough calories i get cranky and very tired
As long as you stick to a healthy diet that will help x

I dont quite get the 5/2 diet personally and wouldnt receomend it to my clients. I advocate eating clean like the others have suggested. This is a lifestyle rather than a diet. The amount of junk and sugar in processed food is really bad for us and contributes to trouble maintaining weight as the lables are so misleading. For example if something says reduced fat, the amount of fat isnt regulated by the goverment. You could be eating a fattier option than other full fat options , its just marketing tools the companys use to sell more.
If your a sucker for a sweet tooth I recently blogged this clean eathing cookie/brownie recipe its really tasty! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
If you google clean eating you'll get loads of info.
Eat clean, stay lean! xx

Aww Lauraloubell, thank you! What a sweetheart! My avi was taken in October, and with Christmas and the stress of my break-up, I've put on a little weight. My weight constantly fluctuates so I am hoping to find a diet/ lifestyle that I can use to keep my weight constant for the sake of my upcoming BA. I am hoping my BA will be an incentive to keep a healthy weight for the rest of my life instead of having clothes that range from a 10 to 14 in my wardrobe because it's so up and down!!
