Replacement Prices
I need to have my implants replaced due to old age. Have just had a quote from my local Nuffield and it has come in at £5295. I think this is a bit steep was expecting it to be closer to £4800. Just wondered what anyone else paid for having implants replaced.
The same surgeon also operates at some other private hospitals so may have to get quotes from these to compare. I know it would be much cheaper if I had him in London but I don't really want to travel that far.

Re: Replacement Prices
You may find the BAAPS/BAPRAS members are a little more money than surgeons from the larger commercial clinics hun, but you're wise to see where else your surgeon works and get quotes from there too as well comparing aftercare also.
MyBreast seem to come up the cheapest I've found and they give you a pretty good aftercare period also. They also only use BAAPS/BAPRAS members so you'd know you getting the best there too
If you take a look at this link HERE if you click on your area it will give you a list of BAAPS members and tell you were they work also babe. Xx

Re: Replacement Prices
It can differ especially when coming to replacing implants. I went back to the same surgeon who done my first ba and it was cheaper as I was an original patient of his. However most companies charge more as they take into account the explant etc. of the old implants .
As cookie says the specialist surgeons will often charge at a set price and it's not negotiable but again you can't put a price on your body and if it means a little extra saving to get the best then that's the way it has to be x

Re: Replacement Prices
Hi, yes if that's the general cost then that is what I'll pay just seemed higher than a lot of the prices girls have paid on here although as you say as its a replacement. I thought that meant less work as pocket already made but maybe not!!
Have asked his secretary to look at his other hospitals but she is so slow and needs chasing up and I just want to get a date in the diary. The other surgeon I like works in the same hospitals so assume price will be the same.

Re: Replacement Prices
When having a replacement done you actually get charged for explanting the original implants you have, they then have to clean the breast before replacing with new implants, so although the pockets already there they still have a lot of work to do hun. Xx
Re: Replacement Prices
Thanks Cookie, price is probably about right then. Scary to think by the time I'm 70 I will have spent over £20k on my boobs!!

Re: Replacement Prices
Hiya. My 1st ba was with Spire and it cost around £4,300. Three years later I was quoted the same price for a re-aug with a BAAPS/BAPRAS surgeon at Spire, although a different surgeon from my 1st ba. Transform gave me a quote of around £4,700, howerver the surgeon I wanted worked at Mya so I went with them and my 2nd ba cost £4,100. It is scary to think of the money spent on boobs, but I justify it by thinking I could have spent the same on a luxury holiday which only lasts 2 weeks!

Re: Replacement Prices
My re-aug was £4000, but I had a discount due to having PIP's and another discount for being made to wait 2/3 hours after my appointment time to see surgeon. The normal price is around £4800 upwards.
