NEED INFO: Spire Leicester Mr S Varma? Thanks
He seems really nice but a little concerned about my learning to the PURE conical implants as they don't have as much history. Any info would be appreciated, 2nd consultation tomorrow night to determine size (hmmmm) then 22 March for the actual op.

I'll move this to the General Breast Augmenation section of the forum lovely
Re: NEED INFO: Spire Leicester Mr S Varma? Thanks
We having a discussion about these type of implants just the other day... May I ask why you have a special interest in them?
From the information I found about them they'd be considered for women who have lost a considerable amount of weight and have sagging, or for women who have breast fed and have sagging because they would help give a little lift to take up the slack
However.... Of you're of a slim frame these implanted will give your boobs a very pointed appearance -think Madonna in her John Paul Gaultier pointed costume!
Here's the difference in their shape compared to the round or an anatomical which would give a much more natural look.

Hi Cookie,
I liked the look of them but am definately not looking for the madonna cones at all. I am a bit saggy but 41, no kids, about a size 10....
Mr Varma said that there was less chance of them hardening (less than 1% with those type) and although more expensive, less chance of rupturing. I have another meeting with him tomorrow.
He told me the history of the polyeurethane and possible links to cancer and I did a fair bit of online research. I suppose being in Leicester I took some comfort from them not being massed produced in Narborough but being possibly sourced from Germany.
I also was learning towards them as he said there was less chance of rippling than with the standard round silicones.
Of course, I bow to the superior knowledge of the experienced on this forum. Don't want to make a mistake :-)
It is really hard to make the choice on type/size etc. I mustn't get carried away because I have a week off before Easter .....
Appreciate your thoughts. The pic is really helpful, I'll take it with me tomorrow.

Hmmmm.... These implants aren't the only option if you're looking for implants with a lesser chance of rippling.
What you want to be looking for if this is your choice are the 5th generation gummy bear type implants which are 100% filled.
The Nagor Impleo (British made) or the Allergan Natrelle soft touch (American made) both two VERY good implants are also options you may want to consider also if your surgeon isn't comfortable with the PUREs. Xx

Great advice cookie, thank you.
Be interested to hear his views. must admit I was a bit too thrilled at seeing how boobs would look on my first consultation. Entering the 'omg' phase now - I think not smoking gives me a lot more time to think too.
Thank you, I'll let you know how I get on xx

No problem hun - hope the consultation goes well. X
Re: NEED INFO: Spire Leicester Mr S Varma? Thanks
I think most ladies get rippling to some degree and to be honest it's never as bad as it being very visible of visible at all, more a scalloped feel. So I wouldn't be choosing them on that basis.

It was ok actually, asked the difficult questions, got nowhere asking for a deal (good that the consultant isn't a sales rep I guess). Laughed at my request for 375's and suggested I be a little more realistic on my expectation.
Now on the Champix as the stopping smoking has been a bit of a failure. Was on 30/day stopped 20/2, three days of abstinence followed by 2/day, 3/day etc and bought a box yesterday.
Nightmare!
