feel so down match my breast!
So everyone i had my consultation with the brilliant mark gittos at heartswood brentwood, i new that he was going to state i needed a uplift but i also wanted inplants he told me straight that these wouldn't be able to be done both at the same time due to my boobs being so big and they would need to settle first so im booked in to have the uplift on the 5th april but i just nearly cired due to it being valentines day for one and that it wasnt what i wanted to hear then once everything is settled down i will return for the breast inplants 6months later :( patients is needed but i understand what he is stating and to be honest i wouldnt know what size to have as im big anyway they are just low and empty due to breast feeding, so hopefully be happier in time also added on to this i was thinking i would have to pay £6500, turns out i will be paying much more of a total sum on everything £9,160 but i hope it will all be worth it in the end and mark gittos is very professional and not pushy at all and tells you straight hope everyone else is okay and good luck with anyone going through with any surgery xx

Re: feel so down match my breast!
Have you booked your surgery babe?
I understand Mr Gittos is a good surgeon but recent studies have actually shown there's no good reasons not to be able to both your BA and uplift at the same time as shown in this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
So its up to you lovely... You may want to print the information off and go back and speak to Mr Gittos asking why he feels YOU would personally benefit from 2 surgeries when studies suggest otherwise, or you may want to seek other opinions first before booking. Xx

Newboob1 have you booked with dr Gittos? I'm also from Essex and I'm having a full anchor lift and ba done at the same time. I'm having mine done with THG with mr sultan hassan the cost is only £5695. Maybe you should have consultations with other surgeons to see what they say hun, I know how frustrating it all is especially when you've been wanting it done for ages xxx

That seems like a lot of money hun! I'm sure there are many great surgeons who can do the both together for less. I know everyone's biased but can thouroughly recommend my surgeon. I'm in essex too and travelled to central London. Like Mr Gittos, Simon Withey also does breast reconstruction and is BAAPS and BAPRAS registered.

You can defiantly have both procedures done at the same time I'm just unsure why he isn't doing it. Look at other surgeons and see what they say xx

Hi I am having 375g high overs at the same time as a full uplift, I think there is a limit to the weight u can put on your new uplift scars as the surgeon said I can't have more volume than that, also can't have extra high profile due to too much tissue stretching, so maybe that's why u need two ops. But DEF a good idea to check with another surgeon! X

Re: feel so down match my breast!
as the other girls said hun defo go get a few more opinions that's a lot of money to be paying for 2 separate surgery's when people have had both at the same time and for cheaper :D xx

Re: feel so down match my breast!
If this is the only one you've had id really think again.
In the long term your giving your body more trauma and its more recovery time and more time when looking after your little one is hard. Their are loads of girls on here that have had a traditional lift and implants at the same time.
Wouldn't you rather only pay once but get what you really want? Its so much money. In the very small amount of experience I've had doesn't seem right.
Id really urge you to see at least 2 more ps for their opinion. Even if that means postponing your surgery next week.
Ultimately its your body, if it feels right, go for it. But if it doesn't then follow your instincts. xx

Re: feel so down match my breast!
I do agree with the girls and would strongly advise you having more than just one consultation babe. as i already linked you to in my previous post, research shows theres NO REASONS whatsoever why you shouldn't be able to have both procedures done at the same time of thats whats needed to get the 'look' you like.
it would at the very least be advisable to seek the opinion of one other surgeon babe. if you're worried you've booked, you need not babe. you have a 14 day cooling off period and have the right to cancel within 14 days of payment. if you're concerned about cost of seeing another BAAPS member, then MyBreast offer consultations with only BAAPS members for just £25 hun, so very affordable if you just wanted to check before proceeding that this really is the right decision for you.
Of course if this is what you really want regardless of seeking a second opinion then we totally respect your decision babe are here for you all the way and happy for you lovely. Xx

Re: feel so down match my breast!
I do know that one of our old members needed an uplift and implants and they were told they needed to be separate operations, as this was suggested by the BAAPs surgeon and was his preference for her she was able to negotiate a much lower price, as you are effectively paying for two operations.
I would always suggest more than one consultation as the others have said, but totally respect your decision.

This was 'before' the latest research came out misf1 stating there are no reasons why the two procedures couldn't be done together. Xx
