Re: How should I massage my boobs??
Thanks Cookie, got in contact with the patient co-ordinator and specifically asked about textured and whether I should be massaging and she said it's under my surgeons instruction that as long as their sealed then I can gently, I actually think that since I've started they've dropped so seems to be working along with the chest bind that I'm still wearing! Thanks for your advice though I did quiz her before I did. xxx

She said "Yes I can confirm the implants you have are textured- you can start massaging from 4 weeks post op or if your wounds are fully closed. Use the flat palm of your hand to gentle massage downwards on the upper pole of your breast the around the breast itself also. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with at all?"
and then I said "Ok, is that what the surgeon suggests? I wasnt sure if I could if they were textured? How long do I do it for at a time? Will it be normal if they ache? " and her reply was
"Yes this as per Mr Paganelli's instructions, it is quite normal if they ache a little as will still be settling into place at this time."

Re: How should I massage my boobs??
Great. As long as your surgeon has approved this its fine.
Her first response is nonsense though really. It doesn't matter or not if your wounds have healed. This is totally irrelevant to the healing of textured implants.
The reason you don't massage unless instructed to (as you are ) is because of the implants shell (textured) needs time to adhere to the breast pocket and embed itself into the breast tissue.
So you see... Her mention of your 'wounds being closed' has nothing whatsoever to do with your implants and why its always best to check as you did babe, wisely double checking, because she obviously hasn't got a clue what she's on about lol. Xx
