hematoma!!!
went for my 6 week check up after uplift and implants and the surgeon said that I had had a small hematoma in each boob!! that explains why I have been so sore and in so much pain, he said my boobs still had a lot of liquid and this would go away on it's own. Has anybody else had this and did it go away how long did it take? didnt even know I had them but I knew something wasnt write x

Re: hematoma!!!
Hiya hunni, I had a haematoma but i'm totally shocked you have been diagnosed as having one on each breast! firstly don't panic, by the sounds of this their not the sort that i had, a Haematoma is an internal bleed, mine happened on one side immediately after op & i blew up like a balloon until the blood literally poured out, not nice & extremely painful & something you need immediate medical attention for, by the sound of it, you have some blood & fluids left inside from bleeding post op but it's not a continual bleed, believe me you would know if it was, it can take 6 months or more for your body to absorb this blood as it is trapped with nowhere to go, what you need to do now hun is keep an extra eye on this, it's all being well him saying it will go (which it will) but you should also have been made aware to look out for signs of infection from it, this is what you don't want to happen, it is rare & i guess i was unlucky but it's no harm to be cautious & know the signs, for instance raised temperature accompanied by hot/red boobs, it may be nothing but don't ignore it while you have a haematoma gathered inside, if in doubt, get checked out.
Please don't go worrying now ok, infection from it is rare & very unlikely to happen but i just want you to be aware that's all hunni.
In the meantime, drink plenty of water & eat well, try & get rid of this nasty old blood & keep healthy, take arnica as this also helps rid swelling & blood gathering, you'll be right as rain in no time xx

Re: hematoma!!!
Sorry to hear that Sarah, did your ps tell you it would just go away on its own or did he have a plan of action? x
