Textured implants
Hi all.. Do textured implants need massaging ever at any point to soften tissue? Or will they do this anyway without massage? I know not to at first so they adhire to the pocket but I've noticed some girls are massaging them at 6 weeks? This conversarion never came up with my surgeon ? Thanks ladies xx

Re: Textured implants
Yeh I just presumed not too as it wasn't mentioned but a girl I've been chatting to who had the same implants and surgeon has said to massage them but I'm not sure if he told her to, have a feeling she's just doing it lol xx

Re: Textured implants
The only reason you'd be given advise ro massage usually is if the implants are having trouble dropping. Do not massage If you havnt been told to x

No worries, yes stubborn high sitting implants can be advised to be massaged to encourage them to drop x

Re: Textured implants
Oooh that's interesting Mrs Ball. I didn't think textured implants were ever massaged again because of adhering =] Mrs Ball you have Eurosilicone don't you?? x x x
Re: Textured implants
Yes I have eurosilicone Hun.
No you should never massage textured they will adhere to the pocket the only reason that massaging advised would be given is to help high stubborn implants drop but that's the only reason it should be advised x

Re: Textured implants
Very interesting to know! Are Eurosilicone implants different to any others? Like is the quality not as good or do they feel harder or anything? I'm supposed to be getting them and i know that they have the most extensive catalogue for different dimensions =] i was even surprised to find out that they will even taylor make implants x x x
Re: Textured implants
Yes the only reason I e had eurosilicone is that no other manufacture makes 800 cc in the dimensions I need, it's a pretty big implant anyway but I need a very small base width and eurosilicone is the only one that would fit me!
My surgeon said That they're pretty bog standard nothing special just functional he uses them for bigger implants (he usually uses nagors) . They're fine for me I love the look of them and theyve maintained their shape mine are quite firm but I've still got lots of softening and healing to do yet x

Re: Textured implants
There's absolutely no need to massage textured implants at all, they're created to adhere to the pocket themselves and 'stability' is required for this to occur.
Its rare a surgeon would advise massage with textured implants, but like mrsball said, having a stubborn boob that hasn't budged at all past the 6 week marker would maybe be a reason a surgeon would suggest massage to encourage the implant down.
Another reason might be for early Capsular Contracture.
Definitely DO-NOT massage though unless instructed by your surgeon. If you massage them thinking you can get them to drop early, you could more harm than good, put your healing back or worse... So leave well alone unless instructed otherwise. Xx

Don't think that my implants are particularly big...do you think i would be better just paying a bit extra and going for Nagor? Are they softer? Sorry for harrassing you, it's just that i don't know many people who have had this brand of implants x
Re: Textured implants
yeah got a few things written down and top of the list is get these boobies to move haha, im just going in open minded but so so glad i have found this site
im not reading up on anything until the surgeon tells me what i should do or what is wrong, if anything
i knew my BA wouldnt be straight forward xx

I had one that needed massaging when I had my implants replaced Tink, I'd be a liar if I said it didn't hurt, it it did a bit, but it worked for me lovely.
No matter what your surgeon says though hun, whether it be massage or a re-op you'll be just fine and you'll do what needs to be done to get your boobs back on track sweetness - you're gonna be fine. xx

Is that the brand your surgeon usually uses ?
Have you felt the diffrnce in them ? If not ask to feel each brand. If you're going to feel more comfatable having nagors it's worth paying that bit extra Hun.. Don't put a price on your body x
And don't be silly ask away anything I can help with I will x

Re: Textured implants
He usually uses either. Eurosilicone private and Nagor on NHS (he does reconstructions for oncology patients) he says i can pay a bit extra for Nagor but personally he likes the Eurosilicone just as much but said it is up to me. Next time i go to my consultation i'll ask to feel the difference. I certainly don't mind paying the extra at all but was just wondering cos i like the look of the Eurosilicone with the cristalline textured shell to reduce cc and stuff =] x x x x
