Aaarghh!!!

SO when I booked my op nobody told me when the final balance was due, I assumed it would be 2 weeks like most girls on here... just got an email from Aurora... it's due 6 weeks prior which is on Thursday!!!!!!!!! Aaarghh!!! 2661777810

Major freak out now because my inheritance bonds aren't coming through for another few weeks. Off to make some very panicked phone calls

dont panic i was told them the same but when i called my surgeon and explained he was fine and told me to pay when my isa's paid out at the end of the day your surgeries booked and they know your going to pay in the end

i'm nearly in tears. Annoyed with the clinic though because a) they should have told me and b) I emailed last week asking and they've only just got back to me today...

ugh. I'm nearly in tears! Trying to find out the contact number of the guy in charge of the bonds from my mum. Rang the clinic and they said I can pay through a BMI payment card so just made a frantic call to OH who's at work telling him to print off and fill out the application but it takes 48hrs to process so need to get it sent off today as next day delivery. Omg. I can't breathe.

calm down, right worst case scenario your surgery goes back a week but you need to call the clinic and explain that your husband doesnt want to pay through a bmi card, they dont know he doesnt and tell them that you are unhappy and a little upset that after you emailing them last week they have only just got back to you, and explain that you will get a payment to them as soon as your bonds come in, see what they say xx

just checked the bmi card and it can take upto 48 hours but it might not also the person in the clinic will know this so must be ok with waiting the 48 hours for a payment xx

Good advice there from Tink babe.

Tell them you don't want a credit card, you want to pay with the money intended and that will be on (date given) as ask if they would be OK with that. Tell them you have no other option. They're holding your deposit so you're not going anywhere. Just stay strong lovely and stand firm with them. I can't see them not agreeing with the time limits you have, you just have to be firm and assertive when telling them lovely. If they can talk you into getting the money now they will, but on the flip side.... if you can talk them into waiting till your money comes through, they will. Xx

I'm just on such a tight schedule, I have to go back to uni on the 8th April which is 18 days post op. If it gets put back a week then i'll only be 11 days post op and then any later than that i'll have to wait until summer and take 6 weeks off work (heavy lifting) which I just can't afford to do Aaarghh!!! 2661777810

Calm down hun, they wont cancel your op. Just tell them you can pay next week and I'm sure they'll be fine. They want your money after all, and a week or two wont hurt them.

well I didn't get the forms off in time. Post office shuts at 5:30 - OH has only just sent me his copy of the forms and they're all wrong - he hasn't signed some of it and missed bits out. There's no way this money is going to be here on Thursday. I'm so upset - OH doesn't seem to have grasped how important these forms were and is getting annoyed at ME for being upset that he's done them wrong (and how it took him from 3:30 when he told me he'd printed them to 5pm to fill them out and email them back) Rang the financial advisor and she said she can't give me a time limit of how long it's going to take but I do seem to have chivvied them a long a bit by ringing. I'm just so annoyed at myself, I should have waited until I physically had the money before going ahead and booking. Will ring aurora tomorrow and see what they say. Aaarghh!!! 856466

I agree with the others Hun, I had to ring Mybreast about 2 weeks before surgery and ask if they wanted me to pay the final balance, no letter, no reminder or anything!

Oh hun don't panic, just ring them tomorrow and im sure they'll be fine with waiting a little as you're definitely having the surgery, there's no point in stressing, sit down tonight and look at all your options clearly so you know what date you can give your company that your money will have cleared by.
I know you're super annoyed with your bf but you need to take a deep breath and shake it off, you need his support with this so try not to push him away.
Maybe he was in such a rush to get the forms done for you that he made stupid mistakes on it. Don't be too hard on him as its not his fault you weren't told the deadline hun.
I hope when you ring tomorrow you can get it all sorted and can stop stressing x

Well! OH goes 'I'm sure they said 4 weeks' and read the t&c's and yup final balance payable no less than 4 weeks prior to surgery!! So annoyed at the woman !

I had to chase Mybreast to pay for mine, plus my card didn't come through for 2 days after my final balance date and they were absolutely fine, I phoned them explained and kept them up to date, as long as ppl know what is going on they are usually fine

OMG newboobz id be livid! Seems the women needs to be told a little bit more about her job!

I hate it when companies get info like this wrong, they dont understand the sheer worry and upset it can cause. Defo ring them tomorrow first thing and give them a piece of your mind! x

Spire only asked for payment to be received 5 days before BA. If you pay by BACS it won't take any longer than if you paid by cheque and it had to clear.

Thanks everyone! I've calmed down. What a day!! Feeling sorry formyself now tho cos of everything plus it's hammering down with rain & i'm full of cold so turned the heating right up and ordered a Chinese intead. Perfect :)

going to send her a stern email highlighting exactly where it says 4 weeks in the t&c's !! Nearly in tears again tho because other half has filled out the form wrong AGAIN. I really didn't think it was hard to fill out a simple form argh I'm so angry. And he's just acting like a child about the whole situation.
