Size argument
So tonight me and my boyfriend were talking boob sizes for me.
I want a full D and he thinks DD!
I want my boobs to look as natural as possible so I think DD will look too big on my 6/8 frame??
People's opinion would be much appreciated

Re: Size argument
Right miss who are you doing this for? YOU (i hope), so its important that you go to the size YOU feel comfortable with, you want to look natural hun so stick to what you feel will suit your preferences.
Your surgeon will tell you what size would achieve exactly what you want so although your boyfriend is saying dd, your surgeon may say that size is just too big. Its great your boyfriend is taking an interest and supporting you but just remember the choice is yours and this is about what you want.
Take some pictures with you to show your surgeon exactly what your wanting x

Re: Size argument
completely second what dove says... you're doing this for you, not anyone else and booby regrets after because your decisions have been swayed will lead to heartache when it cant be changed.
also, i dont know if you'd get a surgeon who is able to guarantee a D or DD, its not scientific and they can only predict how they think it will go.
as my surgeon said to me though, you can be a D in one store, a C in another and an E in a third store..... its just a pigeon hole category for your boobs, a good surgeon will make them look and feel amazing, dont get too hung up on cup size
xx

Re: Size argument
totally agree with littlewellies. Instead of focusing on what 'cup size' you want it's best to find photos of the size/look you want and show these to your surgeon as your perception of a D cup might be different from the surgeons so pictures are more useful for ensuring you're on the same page. x

Re: Size argument
First things first at a size 6/8 I'm taking it your quite petite, what's his idea of a DD and yours of a D , chances are not the same at all.
Secondly youre having surgery for YOU, NOT your boyfriend. It's what you want and what you are going to feel happy with. It's YOUR body and you have the final say in anything that's happening with your body. You are going to be the one living with the implants not him and you have to feel comfatable with what you will have.
You will be living with these for years.
At the consulation the surgeon will ultimately give you sizes and opinions of what's possible . The biggest implant is not sometimes always the best or advisable option ,
The best bet is to look at boobs you like size wise on a lady similar body size to yours and take them to show the surgeon.
All I can say Hun is its your body, your ba and your descion. No one else and please dont be swayed or feel pressured into thinking you have to go for the biggest implant or size to please your boyfriend. X

Re: Size argument
Can't really add anything to the above advice, go with the look you want rather than the size and find a surgeon you trust and go with what they say, a reputable surgeon will choose the correct size implant for your particular size/frame.

It's your body and you've said you want a natural look and a D cup, so go with that. Your surgeon will advise you further then x

Re: Size argument
i am doing it for me ive wanted this for years before i even thought about boys haha
his point is that he doesnt want me to be disappointed if i go safe with a D then regret not going bigger and i kind of take his point but i still just want a natural look.
Well the point of consultations is going through things like that so i will see what comes from that.

Re: Size argument
A word of advice hun... Forget cup sizes.
Surgeons don't work in cup sizes, they work in volume (CCs) babe. And we each, including surgeons have our own perceptions of what a cup size is.
All the bras in the diagram below are a D cup
The only difference is the band.
So when you ask for a D cup, which would your perception be? And do you know for sure your surgeon would be thinking the exact same one as yourself?
The chances are you'll probably be discussing two very different sizes babe and this is probably why so many women may be disappointed post-op in not getting what they thought they would - either too much or not enough. Because what you are actually getting is the surgeons perception of a D cup you requested.
Focus on the look you want babe - men's mags such as zoo or Nuts are a good place to look, we also have some links on the forum too in a sticky 'Are you a newb looking for pics?' That has some pics you might like to print off also.
When choosing boobs with the look you like, do try to also pick women have a similar body type as yourself also. This gives your surgeon a much clearer idea of what might be realistic for your body type.
Having pictures with you of the look you like also helps both yourself and your surgeon to be reading from the same page with you both feeling confident you know what you want from showing the pic and your surgeon knows what you want from seeing the pic - no confusion at all! Xx

Re: Size argument
Totally agree with the other girls :) I was naive when it came to sizes and didn't realise the differences when you account for band size. That's a fab pic Cookie, really helpful, I think we all have different ideas in our heads about what each cup size actually looks like. We are bombarded with pictures in mags etc with so called perfect boobs! Do what you feel comfortable with, to reiterate what everyone has said! It's for you, your body :) Equally you don't want to be disappointed that you have gone too big. Good luck girly :) X

Re: Size argument
hi Jess,
I completely agree with what the others are saying. Try not to focus too much on cup size either hun, it really doesnt apply to boobjobs! I was completely undecided about size until the very last minute (literly) but my best advice is to go with your surgeon. He'll give you a rough idea in your consult what size CC wil get you the look your going for (based on your pics more so than cup size) and he will give you the choice between them. You can choose which you'd prefer but at the end of it all he will only put in what he feels is right for you.
Try not to worry too much about the size you will end up, your surgeon will choose the impants on the day that best suit your frame etc, trust them, they know what they're doing. Work off pics that you like and explain your worries of ending up too small, but listen to what your srugeon says, he'll take all of this into account and he knows best xxx

Re: Size argument
Hi Jess, well I am in a similar position. My BA is next week and still not decided on size. I am a size 6-8, 46 kg, 32b. My surgeon has rcmnd 415 - 450 high profile rounds to fill out my excess skin as i lost all my volume after breastfeeding. I too am a little concerned about the size so am seeing him again in the week with lots of pics that I like and don't like. As all the others have said you cant go by cup size.

Re: Size argument
Thanks everyone, I will wait until I see my surgeon, get more of an idea.
By the way, do you get to try on sizes in a bra to see what it would look like? I've heard you can then some people say you can't? I'm going with transform I think.

Re: Size argument
Yes you can do but it varies, at some consultations I tried them on there & then - others (if i'd had booked) would have arranged a sizing appointment at a later date for me to try them on x

Re: Size argument
I got to try on the actual implants inside my bra and some like chicken fillet things in a vest. Not sure which is meant to give the best look as they varied quite a bit so was a bit confusing. Also you could try the rice boob at home x
