It feels so werid! Really freaky! I don't recommend it! I suppose they will always do that tho so better just get used to it? Makes my stomach turn at the moment though! lol
Stay home if you're not up to it! You want to be as well and rested as you can be! x

I bet sounds freaky! I don't think I've been this unwell in years and it has to happen now?! My boyfriend has booked time off work and he can't change it if my surgery gets postponed :( x

Re: April Buddies
I am sure it will be ok - a few of the girls have been unwell and gone ahead. You still have 2 days as well. Most virus type bugs I've ever had really do their worst inside 24-48 hours, so you will most likely be right on the mend by then! Stay positive, don't let the stress bring you down as well hun. Keep super hydrated and cram yourself with vitamins from fruit and veggies! You can beat it in time for boobies!!!! xx

Hexxi I hope you feel better soon. Try and get lots of rest and plenty of fluids. You can take paracetamol but no ibruprofen or asprin.

Yes Littlemiss its me tomorrow hee hee! U r sweet, I hope so too, but I think pretty looking boobs for me are a good few months away.
When they say fast from 8am does that mean no water even? Is there any restriction on what I can have for breakfast? I have a 12pm check in, surgery at 2! This time tomorrow I will be hopefully awake with boobs! x

Re: April Buddies
It should say hun. I was allowed to SIP water if desperate! But that's it.
You can eat what you want for breakfast! I went for porridge though as It's a good slow release of energy. If you have coco pops you'll be starving and spaced out by the time your op comes lol!
YAY!!!! Let the journey begin! Mine are not pretty at the mo :( still pointing down and one is still bigger than the other. I still love em mind! Better than what was there before even now! xx

Re: April Buddies
Ballet Babe good luck, keep us updated!
Im ok thanks littlemiss, Ive just finished my monthlys (tmi) and my belly is finally as flat as a pancake again! Im sure this was all part of my major belly swelling too lol. Im starting to love my boobies again, Im pretty sure they have dropped slightly which is why Im updating my pictrail later too see what others think.
I went clothes shopping today and blimey, vest tops look amazing on with these new additions of mine. It took me back to me hating to wear vest tops unless a certain amount of padding was added lol x

Re: April Buddies
Hi girls. Hope you're all well. I'm starting to panic a little. I had my recovery time all planned out in between work and my studying but work has been crazy busy and as a result I have to go on a 4 day business trip on my first week back. I'm having 2 weeks off, do you think i'll be ok? I usually work in an office, will just be training people at a desk when i'm away but have a 200 mile drive! I've not told my boss about my boobs but i'm thinking I may have to mention it now....What do you think? x

Re: April Buddies
OMG I struggled to drive 8 miles to work and back AFTER my first week off!? Is there another way you can get there?
Lol Loclo! Me too! I want the sun to come out! I finally love vest tops! I used to wear +2cup sizes padded number with them. Not anymore! Its so nice to just think I can wear ANYTHING without worrying what my boobies will look like. I never wore anything you couldn't wear a bra with before. Even strapless bras were a bit of a no go with nothing to push up. I cannot wait to shop!
Mine are certainly on their way down I think? My nips have stopped pointing down at last so there must be less in the upper pole! And they are straightening up...facing forward and standing to attention! lol YEY! Bit of a way to go yet tho I think but I can really see the difference from my first few days if I look at the photos side by side!

Re: April Buddies
Oh no, if it's a struggle to drive 8 miles I might have some issues with 200!! Will see if anyone else is heading my direction or maybe get a train as close as I can and have a hire car for the remaining journey. It's in the middle of nowhere so can't get there without a car. x

Re: April Buddies
Hi Ladies
Hope you are all well? Just checking in to see if we've heard from ballet babe - hope she is ok?
All is good with me, I'm 3 days post surgery now and still feeling ok. I managed today without any pain relief and had a shower and washed and blow dried my hair. I had expected not to be able to move my arms but I'm having no problems at all. I am slightly sore, but can lift and cuddle my little one (9months old) although I am at my parents so my mum is doing the main bulk of caring for her. My other daughter (2 years old) is tearing around the place and don't think she has even realised I'm in any discomfort. OH is useless as expected and went on a golf day today! He is coming to get us this weekend and will prob drop us back on Sunday night. I knew I wouldn't be able to rely on him so I'm just getting on with it and trying to squash the urge to wring his neck!
I'm not really looking at my boobs- having read the other girls BA stories I'm worried I'm going to get too critical about what's going on with them. I think I'm just going to try and ignore them until my 2 week check with my PS and see what he has to say.
So far I think I've had a really easy time of it- I've slept well, only got slight morning boob and no Buddha belly yet. Lets hope the recovery stays like this!
Hope all went well ballet babe and you are ok Dora and not too nervous xxx

Worried x

I know for the itching you could take a antihistamine like piriton, other than that don't be worried and call in the morning. Also try peas on cleavage xxx

Re: April Buddies
I've missed so much! Congrats Guard, you're now on the boob wagon! Sounds like you're recovering well, yay! That's good you can move your arms, i'm really worried i'm gonna end up with dreadlocks! have that sort of hair that knots! Have warned my friends they might need to do some hair brushing!
My boyfriend is gonna be rubbish, i've spent this week trying to get on top of all the cleaning etc so then he can just maintain it, he said tonight that it will prob be ok to just leave the hoovering etc for a few weeks!!!!!!!!
Hexxi and Doracina how are your colds? I imagine they will still go ahead if you're not spiking a temp. The can give you some antibiotic cover if they feel it's needed.
I have my pre op next wednesday. Mybreast have been rubbish sorting that. One girl told me not to worry and if I didn't hear just to turn up on the day!!!? I'm not a moaner, but had to complain - somebody who wasn't clued up or a bit naive may have taken that advice! I phoned the hospital directly in the end.
Loclo & Littlemiss it's good your boobs are settling. Imagine all the summer stuff you can wear! Seems like ages ago you two got your boobs!

Re: April Buddies
Hi April gals! So here I am with my boobies!!!! All went fine. Got a drain in right boob. Felt quite sick yester from but happily got some meds at 9 then slept on n off til 4ish. In my mns zip 36d bra glad I bought that in the sale as could not get the full price 34d bra on, despite what my pre op nurse told me!!!!! I imagine I will get into a 34 back again or less but who knows about cup size hee hee!!!!!! My ps said the 420s fit in fine! My husband said I must have researched well as they r the perfect size ! I still have a boobie journey to go on tho as long story but my ps said I should give it up to 1 yr to see how they drop n settle and if nipples aren't aligned by then ( he predicts they will) it's a correction under local anaesthetic. But they r pert and look like boobs in the right place again without loads padding I am so far delighted!
Lottie some sweeeeet Avis u have had up lately! Hope u get all clear from the clinic.
Guard great healing and hair washing so early on superb!
Meldstar exciting nearly ur pre op! As all the girls say enjoy the build up as its over in a flash! X

Morning girl's xxx congrats ballet babe looking gorgeous x good luck for today hexxi an anyone having surgery today xxx
I'm worried day 6,
maybe I'm being unrealistic but I thought the swelling was only for the 1st few days! I've woken up this morning and they are a tad more swollen and I have a constant cleavage, feel harder today too, is it normal to still be swelling today? Don't have any pain x just hardness :(
Hope all is normal x

Re: April Buddies
Morning Lottie, my friend said she was swollen for 3 weeks after having her BA so I shouldn't think it's anything to worry about but if you are really concerned then maybe you should give the RMO a call? They will help with all queries! Also you should probably mention that u have taken off the plasters as well as I don't know if that's allowed. I have heard that some places can refuse aftercare if you go against instructions (that's why I still have my tapes on or they would've been off already! Lol) I doubt it would be a problem but just worth asking! Hope you are ok my darling! Xx

Re: April Buddies
Hi lottie am not sure how long it lasts, but mine are defo more swollen this morn than they were yester. Feel mammoth! Bit tender n firm too.
Well I have kept down my poached eggs n toast, had my drain out ( barely felt it) and my surgeon popped by to say take it easy over the weekend and that he couldn't have done a better job so I am pleased! Have to come back Friday for nurse appt n that's that!!!!! I am delighted but I feel a bit sad too that's its all over. I looked forward to this for years and had booked it 10 weeks ago.
Hexxi u enjoy ur day n let us know how it goes. I am not in any pain with an uplift hexxi so don't worry, just normal painkillers and more tape than a straight BA! X
