Re: April Buddies
Oh god my nipples feel so strange I didn't rely to her, can't be bothered to have people like her in my life, they only end up bringing you down. Littlemiss how are you back to work? I'm still struggling to get my arms high lol!!
I did bath my daughters today though, was scard in case they got me with water but I've missed caring for them so I had to do something lol x

Re: April Buddies
It is hard work Loclo! I really felt I had over done it last night. No pain but just a bit achey. I expect it's half down just just having to be upright all day with my new assets weight. Back in the office this morning but planning to take it very easy. I've also got some ibuprofen with me to pop if I need it. So far so good but I would probably have taken another 2 or so days off if I was doing it again. Luckily my job is not very physical most of the time.
Mine too! They are really quite sensitive but still sort of numb at the same time?! Hard to explain! I guess its the nerves mending and springing back to life.
Ahhh love you managed bath time! Must be hard not being able to get involved with it all as a mum when its your default setting! Can't get my arms up straight either without feeling I am pushing it so just avoiding it! All in good time xx
Hahaha KFS I had such a goldfish brain the entire first week. The drugs! I've only just recovered from this! xx

Re: April Buddies
Morning ladies,
I woke up today and its hit me just how close it all is! Next week the kids are at school again so that will fly in and then thats it! Its my turn! Guard noooo no way my boobs are ok, never will be defo no doubt on that matter. Guilt and doubts to the amount of money Iam spending on myself and the time away from the kids but thats it. I need to let my customers know Iam out of action for a few weeks but not sure how to word it, and I dont want to loose any business.
I was wondering how many of you took Arnica? Dont know weather to go get some or not?? And to think when I first started this journey I thought how hard can it be, a couple of days off in and out of hospital easy!

Re: April Buddies
I am still sleeping a little propped up but much less so than I was last week and its been fine. I couldn't take it or sleep anymore!
My morning boob is easing off a little now! Hope yours isn't too bad!
I drove after 7 days. I did a little short tester trip. Bit tricky. Then the next day the 10/15 min trip to work and back and the same again today. It works the chest/arms quite hard. I find changing gear feels weird but I definitely feel safe and ok doing it. Just give it a try down the road and see how you feel I suppose. xxx

Morning Dora!!!! YEY getting closer!
Maybe you can just say you have to have a minor operation but will be back in action quickly and can be contacted while you are off from the [date]?? (if you are contactable) or who to contact while you are off, and ask if there is anything they need from you before you go.
Arnica - I never took it. Hahaha yes its like executing a military operation in reality isn't it! Sounds so simple! I'd have been a right mess if I had not found this forum to prepare me! xx

Re: April Buddies
I have emailed my PS this morning. He comes back to me so fast on everything... I asked. I was told the following :) YAY
I have been sleeping propped up as I understand this is the done thing. Do I need to continue this? No, whichever position is comfortable.
Is it ok to go back to normal showers now (not being submerged in water of course) or do I still need to try and keep the scars dry when doing this? My nurse at the winterbourne insisted I kept them dry but the leaflet says otherwise. You can shower and bath as normal now.
And am I correct at thinking at 4 weeks I can wear a 'normal' bra? Correct.

Re: April Buddies
morning everyone, glad to hear all is still going well, thanks for posting those QnA,s littlemiss. Dora you must be getting excited, I had lots of strange boob op dreams the week leading up to my op!! I haven't taken arnica either, I plan on waiting till stitches are removed then using that bio oil stuff which is ok to do two weeks post op.
Good luck to willow too!!
I'm five days post op now and last night was the first night my body did not wake me up for a 'top up' dose of painkillers in the middle of the night!! which was great to realise as its a good sign the pain is easing up slightly. (yay) Also all my pillows and v cushions were slightly lower like the other girls too.

Re: April Buddies
Sunday is fast approaching, Im a bit nervous today just kind of acknowledged il be getting cut open and stuffed lol x I am very excited but the nerves have just kicked in the rest of the week is going to fly by now... Hows everyone doing? My V pillow is my best friend already haha, but wont be cuddling it from sunday will need it for support x Started my arnica today cant do any harm a lot of girls have said they think it worked great but im not counting on it, if it does fab it not then bring on the painful swelling lol x My patient co ordinator i think its called is away for 3 weeks so ive not really had any support or reassurance from transform, suppose I shouldn't expect them to hold my hand but would of been nice for them to have given me someone else i can email and chat to... Thought of complaining but don't want to be a moaner/baby...

Go have a look at your pre BA pictures! Maybe just the swelling finally gone? either that or your just getting used to how they look now. Thats great news littlemiss showers and a decent nights sleep for you! Jodie have you been waking up with the pain or just setting your alarm to take painkillers just incase??

Dora no I didn't set any alarms, just kept tablets and water next to bed if I woke up needing them , which happened the first 4 nights , but as I said last night I didn't wake at all, I took some at 10 pm and slept through till 6am when I took some more and then slept another couple of hours!! ( always been a good sleeper me haha) xxx
Lottie not long for you, eek!!! the nerves are to be expected sweetie, you'll be fine xx
