Re: April Buddies
Ohhh exciting loclo! Yes not too invasive thankfully!
We women get quite enough of that! Basically pretty much everyone has MRSA on
them, its sort of sits on your skin, it comes and goes and generally does you
no harm, but you don’t want it hanging about when you have surgery because it
can increase risk of infection and slow you down on the road to recovery. She
said if you have it they will treat it before your surgery, although it can be
tricky to shift, they give you disinfectant washes, that sort of thing. My
surgery wont be delayed by it which was my biggest worry! I’d actually go
insane if I had to wait any longer now! I am literally detol wiping everything
I touch! Lol

Thinking more about my last minute purchases... I have just got a V pillow to help with propping myself up when sleeping post op. The one I got has great reviews and was a bargain! It also comes with its own pillow cases! Tesco Direct £7 and free to collect from store the next day. Can't post a link but if you search for its name its: -

Re: April Buddies
Thanks littlemiss - I am in the market for a v pillow today so will take a look! I wonder when we will be upgraded from newbies so we can share our photos? I have no idea how to do it but do plan to do a picture trail. I am having a panic now over my sizes - I was set on a 520cc but dont want to look like a monoboob (my mums opinion when I showed her my ricers). So now thinking prob a 450cc.
How are you bearing up today - this time next week you will be in boobiville!!! xx

Re: April Buddies
Lol I am super excited! I get a little nervous here and there! Nothing too bad though! I am also freaking over two sizes - either 240 or 265. I keep changing my mind so will leave it to my good PS in the end I think!
I have also purchased some non adhesive pads and surgical tape for wounds and stitches in case my bra seams hurt my stitches and I can pad them with those. AND a loofah on a stick thingy cos I guess scrubbing feet/back as usual will be near impossible.I am addicted to shopping for anything related to boobs now! lol
How long til yours Guard?
I don't know how to do pics yet but I def
I think its a while week til we are not newbies anymore! I can't remember when i joined lol! xx

Re: April Buddies
Tell me about it! I LOVE to shop as it is- its all I can do not to buy loads of bras now in every size just for the fun of it! Every night before bed I get me husband to look through bra websites with me and tell me what he like the best- poor guy I used be all matching and thin and firm and then he married me....I had 2 children in the space of 2 years and piled on 3 stone and my lovely underwear turned to grey t-shirt bras that do t fit. Can't wait to get the 'old' me back'.
What a great idea about pads and stuff- I haven't even considered the recovery other than worrying out my little ones- I am hoping that breast feeding has hardened me to Brest pain (because my God it hurts) I might stock up on cabbage as that was my life saver when my milk was drying up!
I think I am just going to trust my surgeon as well when it comes to size. I am going to the gym every night though until my op date as 6 weeks no exercise could be my downfall!
So excited for you- wish mine was sooner! X

Re: April Buddies
Ladies preop went well, surgeon said my pulse was high, I was nervous so god only knows how Ill be on the day! To set up pictures just go to picturetrail.com and set your account up there, you should then be able to sort your pictures out.
You will be upgraded from newbies when admin are satisfied that they know your you and not some weirdo if you know what I mean . Im excited gaurd but like littlemiss I keep getting waves of nerves!! If you want to prep your sking before surgery you can get hibiscrub off amazon to use the night before and morning of your op. Im not sure where the link is but if you ask Cookie she will be happy to help. x x

Re: April Buddies
Hahaha!
Me too!
I am sure he thinks you're gorgeous and its not as bad you think! We are so hard on ourselves! But you will feel amazeballs with your new boobs!!! And that's the most important thing right!
Cabbage! Good shout! I don't have kids so I don't know about boob pain really! I have been taking wellwoman multi vitamins to get myself on top form before hand too. Drinking lots and eating well.
I
have been training my backside off lately. I am going literally every day
between now and Monday night. Although I will stop all upper body work from Sat
morning because I don’t want achey muscles to start with I guess? I will go
INSANE not being able to go to my gym and classes.

Eeek congrats Loclo! My pulse goes nuts every time I go in there too!
That's ok we don't want weirdos on here. I could be a big creepy old man for all we know lol! I am glad they check us out as I feel comfortable talking on here. I don't do it anywhere else and I have hardly told anyone I am having the op! This has been a life saver! I am slightly puzzled as to how I will deal with this too. I mean I've told my 4 best friends, man, mother and aunt and that's it! I think people will notice soon enough.

Re: April Buddies
Hi loclo- so glad all went well and thanks for advice. I completely understand about being a newbie and glad they vet it...i feel like this forum and boobs has become my life! I don't know about you girls by my housework has has seriously taken a nose dive since finding this site- I really better get on and make some dinner or my husband will be filling for divorce- I've been jumping on and off my iPad all day!
Littlemis I am the same- I've told most people and I'm not bothered for people to know but I think I will be a bit embarrassed when I see everyone for the first time. I told my gay hairdresser last week and he spent the whole time looking at my boobs and i couldnt help thinking if thats his reaction what will my father in law do?! X x
Have a lovely night ladies, dinner, washing and gym for me tonight x

Re: April Buddies
I know I don't comment very much but girls I have to say you do all make me smile! So nice to know I'am not in this by myself! I have said before how I haven't told anyone (except my husband) and he works abroad so when I get it done I've asked my mum to have the kids for me for a few days. She asked me last night why it was she was having the kids, (I know what shes going to say that's why I have not told her!) Oh mum I said can you not just have them without asking questions?? Her reply..... I think I know what your doing and your right I dont want to know. Oh my the grief Iam going to get once its all done!!

Lol Dora I wonly told my mum nest week because she will have to look after my INSANE cocker spaniel! It was such a cringe moment!
She will come around to it I am sure. Its your decision.I think to people who don't get how we feel it must seem a very odd thing to do!
But here we are and we're all behind you! :) x

Re: April Buddies
doracina, you wont get grief, once its done you will probably find that your mum wont ask questions or comment. Do you not want to tell her? What if theres complications? Fingers crossed there wont be but theres that chance. x x

Good point, if your OH is out of the country too. Even without complications I think I'd want someone to know in case I wanted some general support. If not your mum maybe someone else?

Re: April Buddies
Thanks Littlemiss, and you're so right everyone one in my family has huge melons! And I get the malteasers! x
Locolo, Hmmm I just think the earache I would get wouldnt be worth it. lol. I know what you're saying about complications and I suppose Iam hoping there is non. My back up plan was to use my sister as next of kin (cose hubbys on a boat god nose where) and tell her the day before then I only need to listen to nagging for one day. They can all say what they want after I just think we have all got enough nerves going on without them adding to it.
so now your all in on the secret shhhhhhh
