Anyone have any experience using Keli-cote? is it really as fab as they say for helping scars? AND does anyone know where I can get it for less than a zillion pounds?! Thanks ladies!

Re: silicone gel
I haven't tried the kelo-cote, but I have tried other well recommended silicone sheets and to be honest Elizabeth, if your scarring isn't bad I wouldn't waste your money on them. If you feel you might benefit from using scar treatments, then I can't help you with saving money. I used Cica-care silicone sheets myself which cost a fortune, but they were re-usable so over time the cost balanced out. Not sure if the kelo-cote is the same, but although expensive they generally balance out over time in cost
Have you tried Amazon? Sometimes you can get things cheaper on there.
I personally didnt find anything worked for my bad scars Elizabeth. If you have bad scars, I really do hope the scar treatments help you. Xx

Re: silicone gel
my surgeon recommended that one, but it is a gel, and it costs about £"90 for six months worth. Seems a bit mad to me, but he does say its remarkable stuff!
Hm... have looked on amazon, might be around for about £70. I suppose after spending so many thousands on the op this shouldnt faze me!

Re: silicone gel
Are your scars very bad Elizabeth?
I do agree, I felt the same, after spending so much to have surgery a few hundred quid more on treatments is nothing. I got no where with them, the Cica-care was recommended by my surgeon, I do sincerely hope you get better results than I did though. Xx
