Swimwear question post BA?
This could end up being a daft couple of questions, but bear in mind other than on hols I have not stepped foot in a local swimming baths since I was 14!!! I'm now 33!!
1st I remember when swimming in normal pools no bikinis were allowed only costumes (this is why I never went couldn't pad out) is this still the case?
2nd I tried on my old bikinis and couldn't get in the tops without looking ridiculous. How do you buy sizes? I'm an 8 or small 10 also in costumes will I need to buy a costume too big??
I'd love to finally go swimming with kids my two eldest cant swim thanks to my insecurities I'm so ashamed but its true I want to teach them before they won't come with me my baby is 15 months so its going to be new for us all xx

Unless your local pool has specific rules bikinis are fine! It's usually tshirts they ban for safety reasons. As for bikinis, I'd say buy a top size higher? If ordering online check the size guides n the buy the one with the bust measurement closest to yours or some sets come in cup sizes xx

You can buy costumes with cup sizes, although you'll probably have to get them online. I don't know about public swimming pool, you'd never catch me in one, not around here anyway.
Re: Swimwear question post BA?
Bikini bottoms & tops come separate so I imagine I'll have to buy a larger size top as my 8's and 10's look silly!

Well in my local baths bikinis are fine. As others say tops and bottoms come seperate. If you have a New Look nearby Kelly Brook does some lovely bikini ranges including lightly padded and underwires that are cup size specific =] think they also sell them online x

See it shows how long it's been lol bikinis were for holidays only when I was a teen just think then even worse I could of gone swimming with a padded one then anyway lol I was worried that the back would be huge on a 12 or 14 but I forgot about cup sized tops

Haha thanks girls. Yes balamory its defo me. No idea on the bikini there's no labels, a friend gave it to me for my last holiday but it was massive! There's not even a size label in it.
A lot of bikinis come with ties so you shouldn't worry about back size with those. But ones with a clasp I guess is trial and error?

Debenhams do great bikinis, they also do them in separate sized bottoms and cup sized tops so you get a perfect fit.
You should be fine to go the local swimming baths in a bikini, although it may be best to call in advance mot make sure. Xx

Re: Swimwear question post BA?
I bought a couple of Caprice bikinis a couple of years ago and you'd think given she has augmented boobs she'd be more generous with bikini size, but I kept falling out of her tops! They're gorgeous, soooo pretty, but I'd never buy them again X
