Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
Hi,I just had my first consoltation with Harley Medical Groupe in Bromley. They have recomended Dr Solomons or Dr Frati. Has anyone any experiances of either? x
Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
Dr Frati did my first BA. Although I would run as far away as poss from HMG, after the way they have treated and continue to treat their patients x

hi princess,
MYA booked me in with Dr Riccardo Frati next week. is this the same Dr Frati?
Apart from HMG, what did you think of Mr Frati himself? Were you happy with his work?

Yes, that's him. Mr Frati's needlework is brill, my scars were virtually nothing. He's not overly chatty but he's pleasant enough. He doesn't do huge silly boobs, he likes the natural/in proportion look. Hope your consult goes well, be sure to tell us all how it went :) x

that sounds exactly like what i'm looking for, definitely in proportion and not too big, 'only' looking to be about a C cup which would be a big difference for me anyway!
neat scarring is also really important!
will def. let you know how it goes :)

Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
oh mine's not till after 7pm, can only do after work.. let me know how it goes though!
i have seen 2 other surgeons so far, the first (ms fiumara at transform) is a maybe, the second (mr khan, i saw him through courthouse clinics) is a definite no, both for the surgeon and the clinic.
and after mr frati i will be seeing 2 more surgeons, one at the hospital group and one through mybreast.
hopefully i should be able to choose from all of those :)
what about you?
i have heard good things about mr frati, so can't wait to finally meet with him tomorrow!

Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
I've seen Mr Russo at the Hospital Group and I really liked him, though I'm a bit concerned about the mysterious suspension last year. I'm seeing 2 other surgeons on Friday, Dr Girpatriani and Surgicare and Dr Khan at transform. Is this the same Dr Khan? first name Saifuddin? If so, may I ask why he's a no? Been to Harley medical Group today but didn't see a surgeon, don't think I'll go any further there as it's more expensive and because of the PIP implants last year.
Dr Frati's profile seems most impressive for me so far, I do hope it goes well. Will let you know x

Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
hey, no idea if it' the same mr khan, but i think so! he seems to work for several different clinics..
he just tied in with the reviews i had read before, he is extremely short (i was in and out in 5 minutes, including undressing and dressing), he rambled down the risks in 30 seconds, asked me basic medical history questions and then looked at and felt my boobs to suggest a size, but he didn't even measure! he then suggested a size that sounded waay too big for me. definitely a lot better than the first surgeon had suggested, with whom i had tried on implants.
that's why for me he is a no as i need to feel more looked after than that. but for some girls. his brief way is okay.
the clinic (courthouse clinics) was also really rubbish and disorganised.
but i do like transform as a clinic so far, really got on well with my pcc, and i did like the surgeon, just feel like i would have to go back to ask more questions as it was my first consult and i just didnt think of asking all of the questions i have now.
but have high hopes for mr frati, and then in 2 weeks i will be seeing mr hassan at the hospital group of whom i also hear really good things!
the surgeon at mybreast i still need to research, but he is a BAAPS/ BAPRAS registered surgeon, so thought it would be good to get an opinion from him as well.

Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
sorry meant to say mr khan had suggested a lot bigger than my first surgeon ms fiumara, so i got the feeling he wasn't listening to my wishes and requirements at all. but go with an open mind and see how you get on x

Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
Hi,
Mr Russo didn't measure me either just suggested a size that would be in proportion with my shoulders, hips and height. It was bigger than I expected but he said it was a symetrical suggestion and might meet me half way. He also said that most women who go below what the surgeon suggests always regret it. I heard Mr Frati can be very brief too, sometimes rude, tbh as long as he answers my questions and I can see he knows what he's talking about, he's confident and professional, I can forgo the social skills. We'll see how it goes...
Are you looking to have ur BA in London?

Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
after i've seen all surgeons i will be interested to see what the average size is that they all suggest to me. but at the moment there's quite a gap between the two suggestions i've received..
yes looking at having it in london, though i have read that the hospital group's clinic is in birmingham / dolan park. not ideal, but apparently they do arrange transport if needed, so will see..

Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
Hi yes THG provides a chauffeur service and it works out cheaper to be an overnight than a day case patient with them strangely!
Just seen Dr Frati and he was pleasant enough, much more thorough than Mr Russo, used a measuring tape and got me to try the implants on. He's suggested a slightly bigger implant size than Mr Russo, but i should stay within the same size a D- I saw the before and after pics and I'm very impressed! This is a big maybe for me, two more surgeons to see tomorrow and then it's decision time!
So excited!!

Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
hey angie,
so what did you think of mr frati?
i thought he was very polite, he asked the usual medical history questions, measured me, and got me to try on implants. I wasn't rushed either with trying them on so that was great. I got a good impression of how they and I could look!
I did feel a bit like I had to extract all information from him, he didn't volunteer much information, but answered all the questions i had.
i didn't see any pics when i was there, did you ask to see them?
he recommended the same sizes as the first surgeon i saw, so i think that's a good sign!
he is a definite maybe, and i like mya's aftercare.
the advantage transform still has over mya is that they have their own hospital.
i have 2 more consultations to go to, so will see!

Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
I had exactly the same experience with him and I thought he was polite but I had to extract information from him too. Since he was late to start with I asked to speak with the PC as I still had some questions. I asked to see the pics but he had a problem with his laptop, so I asked the PC. I left the clinic without seeing them, but I called her back and said I wanted to come see them. They are very impressive, look very natural and no scarring is visible!
When I saw Mr Russo, he said I needed a nipple lift but Dr Frati said I didn't -that it would be a waste of money and that he could make it look good by placing the implant well. Indeed this is what I saw in the pics, nipple position was corrected only through a BA!!. So I'm pleased with that, less pain, less scaring and considerably cheaper.
I'm planning to go as a day case so that the hospital is owned or not by the clinic is not crucial for me. I have checked both hospitals with the Quality Care Commission and the Highgate has got really good results/reviews. Riverside apparently hasn't been checked yet....
Also MYA has a five year policy against encapsulation when most others have only 3.

this is what i thought too and mya was winning on that note, but i got some more information from mr frati today and in that document it says its 5 years for rupture but 3 years for encapsulation..
did you end up going back to see the pictures then? good on you for doing that!

Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
What document was that? I got the pack at my fist consult and it says 3 years revision surgery, bad scarring, unsatisfactory result, etc.,and 5 years for encapsulation. I re-checked this with the PC today and she's confirmed.
Also I'm going with the Naturelle which come with a lifetime guarantee but that only covers the implants cost and £750 towards surgery cost within 10 years, after that it only covers the implants. The harley medical also have the same policy with the naturelle?
Yes I went back to see the pics, I remembered when I was still close so I called her and asked to see them :-)

Hi Lisa
I went to Harley medical, but they tried to charge me for the consultation, also their prices were significantly higher than everyone elses and she wouldn't haggle. I hope you've got a good price and I'm glad you're happy with the results :-)

Re: Dr Solomons or Dr Frati??
the document was called 'Informed Consent - Breast Augmentation', it looks like the one you sign before you have surgery, but it also lists all the general information again and the risks, etc.
Then on the last page, it says:
"The after care policy includes:
- Unlimited post-op appointments with Mr Frati
- Revision surgery where clinically indicated
- Free re-op for implant rupture within 5 years post-operatively
- Free re-op for capsular contracture within 3 years post-operatively"
but then i also checked my original pack and it says in the Mya terms and conditions:
"8)a) For up to 5 years from the date of original surgery MYA will provide free of charge, if clinically appropriate, corrective surgery, hospital accommodation, and replacement implants of the same size where capsular contracture occurs."
strange. will have to email my pcc about this..
