Re: Worried about silicone safety...
I agree Scatty, the NHS I think would never perform or
recommend surgery that wasn’t safe or cost-effective. Yes, I’m seeing Paul
Clarke tomorrow. I am genuinely so excited, I can’t express it! I am concerned
though because I’ve put on like a stone since early December so not so chuffed
about having to take my clothes off but I’m sure he’s seen it all before. I
have heard only good things about him and I feel that trust and getting on with
your surgeon are so important so I feel very optimistic.
I like the idea of the gummy implant Balamory, are they more
safe than other types of implant? Oh April will come before you know it! xx

I happily stripped off he doesn't make you feel ashamed when he has a look its very quick he measures and stays quiet, just see it as seeing your usual doctor they see every size and shape, I told him I would recommend him and that he has a really good reputation he looked really shocked and was very modest sooo lovely not cocky or stuck up, I'm Jenny from Birmingham if you want to say I've told you he's great ha ha xx

He sounds terrific! It's good he's lovely and modest too. I felt a bit self-conscious stripping off in front of my last PS at the consultation, mainly because there was a nurse standing there looking at me as if she'd never seen a pair of boobs before, so hopefully this will be different! Did you see any of his pictures from previous ops? I will mention you tomorrow! I am also called Jenny, pleasure to meet you my namesake! xxx

Re: Worried about silicone safety...
Ha ha hello!! I asked him about pictures of his work and he said he doesn't agree with showing girls before and afters of other women as this can give a false idea of how you will turn out, which I completely understood to be honest I know this goes against what all the advice given is but I really did see his point on that one I would of gone away thinking mine would look like a girls picture when I have different tissue, rib cage, size etc xx

Yes I suppose he's right in a sense but I would like to have an idea of how good he is! I don't know how I'd feel about going ahead with a PS whose work i hadn't seen but I guess trust and what he believes he can do for me is more important than being able to see someone else's results.

It's each to their own I think please don't let me influence too much as it has to be your decision at the end of the day I'm just letting you know my experience with him and an idea of how he works I was gutted at not seeing pics as I thought only a bad surgeon wouldn't show them but I could see his point xx

Re: Worried about silicone safety...
Oh don't worry, I think only an idiot would go ahead with surgery solely based on someone else's experience when they themselves weren't comfortable with the surgeon. I would like to see his photos but it's not the end of the world if I don't. Do you have a picture trail?
There are so many people online who recommend him and have had amazingly positive experiences that I'd be daft to pass up a surgeon based on the fact he doesn't show photos if everything else about him is positive. What I am most interested about is whether he would perform unders or overs. I know he is very keen on overs but the last PS I consulted with said overs would be a complete no-no for me given how little breast tissue I have and how thin my skin is, completely lacking in elasticity due to eating disorders when I was going through puberty. If Mr Clarke suggests overs I would be inclined to say no given the last PS's advice.

Re: Worried about silicone safety...
He told me he would decide on the day whether it would be unders or overs as he was unsure I haven't had an eating disorder but I was always clinically underweight all my life until my third child painfully thin so I can understand the thought of lacking tissue. I had gone in assuming I would need unders as I really was flatter than flat the bottom of my rib cage was bigger than my chest all I had was two nipples. But Paul Clarke managed overs he wants the look to be as natural as possible and I was glad as the recovery is not as bad as unders as it isn't as invasive. I think he does favour overs though. Ill pm you my picture trail I haven't updated for a couple of weeks though xx

Re: Worried about silicone safety...
Thank you. You sound quite like me in terms of your physique. I am an A-B cup and Mr Withey said that overs would be out of the question because the thinness of the skin means they'd be visible. I have read a lot of recommendations about Mr Clarke but so far none have had unders so I think he definitely tries for overs where possible. I just don't know if it would be possible with me. Would be really interesting to view your pic trail. I saw one other girl's who had Mr Clarke and the difference was amazing. He's definitely a talented surgeon.
