Only 3 days to go and starting to panic!

Ive only got 3days to go until my BA and starting to panic. Im having my BA done for very asymmetrical breasts (the right is the smaller tubular breast), was messed about on the NHS so decided was going to pay. Went for the consultation last week and he said that he would do the best he could but I could have a slight step between the implant and the breast tissue. So am panicking that i might look like a complete freak! But hes shown me some of his pics and they look good.

Also the people at work have started to gossip about why i am having so much time off, someone who i trusted must have spread that Im having a BA and am gutted because Im soo embarrassed about why Im having it done I didn't want it to be common knowledge. But I feel like I need to explain myself to them!! Big error in judgement on my behalf! But i work in a hospital with mostly women so what did i expect!

I soo want this done have done since I was 14 and knew my breasts were different. And I think that now that its nearly here Im freaking out that its actually happening!! I might actually finally feel normal!!

Feel like this is the only place I can turn, as although I have fab family and friends I feel like they dont really understand how I feel and you guys do!

Sorry you're feeling a bit worried about things. Think sometimes pre-op nerves kick in and can make things seem out of proportion. The only important thing is that you trust your surgeon and you are doing it for you and no one else, so I really wouldn't bother "explaining" yourself to work colleagues - it has absolutely nothing to do with them and it is such a personal thing, even if you do explain your reasons to them some people are quite opposed to BA's whatever the reasons so might not understand anyway (and just talk behind your back)...Keep them guessing I say!

And you will soon have great matching boobs so it is all good!

Good luck with your op next week. You've got every reason to get them done and you don't need to explain yourself to anyone. And in any case, if your workplace is like most others, people will have forgotten all about it in a few weeks and will be moaning/bitching about something else :lol:

Thanks guys! My surgeon is fab, he's been looking after me for the passed year and was the one who tried to put me through the NHS so I no he's going to do the best thing for me. He is really annoyed they have messed me about and is determined to help me!
Its weird with work because my boss has been fab, shes very supportive and said to take off as much time as I want. Its just the people I work alongside who are bitching. But they probs will find someone else to gossip about!! Some are also very opinionated about BA's and really dont like them.
My boyfriend got really mad about it because I got very upset last night and decided that they were all jelous and I would be loads happier and more confident with my new boobs. Cant believe how fab hes been!
Probs is all nerves!! Cos I cant wait to feel 'normal' and fit in bras without one side fitting and the other poking out! (ever soo attractive!!)

hey hunnie,i felt that the last few days leading up to my BA were the worst-but on the actual day i was completely fine-i think it was mostly because i knew that i was doing the right thing for me!!!
you'll be fine and you totally deserve it!!!

Dont worry about what other people think, theyre only jealous. Besides, youre doing this for you and believe me, youre going to feel sooo good afterwards that noone can get you down.
Everyone that I work with found out after I told a select few but when I went back to work the girls in my office just asked how I was and keep asking when they can have a feel. Theyre also really proud that I was brave enough to go through with it. It wasnt the reaction that I expected at all but everyone has been so nice and supportive.

Sorry to hear that your feeling down hun, us girls are always here to listen and help each other out on here :lol:. Not nice that somebody has broken your trust and spread your personal business around work, but like the other ladies have said, they are all probably jealous of you and you can make them more jealous when you return with your brand new assets lol. Anyhow please dont listen to these small minded people, alot of people assume just because your having a BA that you want to be some big porn star or something (not that theres anything wrong with that), I just hate the fact that people associate BA's with slutiness and assume women do it just to get them out all the time. A BA is a very personal thing and a lot of women are really unhappy with their chests and what right has somebody else to criticise you for having your BA, fair enough they may not agree with it but they have no right to bitch and make you feel **naughty word** hun!! You are doing this for you, to give you the confidence and make you feel better about yourself! Keep your chin up sweetie and just think of the end result. Youll have the last laugh at the end.

Hiya - sorry about all the cr@p but I promise you you're doing the right thing. It sounds like this is a huge insecurity for you and this is about YOU, not them.

I had my BA because I looked like a little boy, not a woman, and I was fed up with feeling inferior and a freak. And it's one of the best things I've ever done. At the time I was petrified about people finding out, but almost 4 months on I've really lightened up about the whole thing and I truly think I would be honest if someone questioned me outright. Now I'm the "new me" and the op went so smoothly, I have the confidence to admit the insecurity I used to have, which I definitely didn't before. If that even makes sense! Sorry, have had some wine....lol!

You'll be fine and im sure you will look fab afterwards! Ignore the gossipers, dont feel like you have to explain yourself to them as its none of their business. I would tell them something else x

Thanks for all your support guys. Saw a really good friend last night and he was really supportive and had a bottle of wine which made it all better!! Just think people are going to be opinionated but those ones arnt my friends. If they have a problem they can talk to my boss about it, because she has no problem with it. Just wish they would ask me to my face and not talk behind my back.
Getting more excited now. I have soo many supportive people around me! Only got monday at work then off until im better! By then the rumour mill will have died down! Just need to think about me and not what other people are thinking! (Which is really not me, but will have to try!)
Will have to let you all no how it goes on tuesday!! Gonna go get my bag packed!!

You trust your surgeon and have seen his work, pre-op nerves setting in I guess? Just keep in mind that you have decided to have this for you, and you will feel soo much better in yourself. There will always be people who talk behind your back....are they worth you wasting your time and energy on? Trust is soo important...we learn from our mistakes, so let them go!! They surely are not worth explaining your personal feelings to.

Well my consultant asked me to check the difference between my breast volume by doing at Archimedes body volume test....basically the u fill a measuring jug with water and how much water is split is how big ur boobs are!! Soo much fun! Water all over the place!! Mine are 118mls average on the right and 218mls on the left so pretty much got one double the size of the other. He wanted me to make sure so that the implants ive chosen make me as symmetrical as possible!! Very pleased now because I can have 180/280cc or 275/175cc which ever hes chosen I cant remember.... Should come out a nice c/d!! Well excited!! Thanks for all your support! My closest friends have been texting saying they cant wait to see my new boobs!! Fab!! only 2more sleeps!!

Glad all your closest friends are being as supportive as they can - that's how it should be. Anyone looking down on you because of it isn't worth losing sleep over - they obviously just don't understand why you want the surgery and don't have anything better to gossip about. I'm sure they'll all be jealous when you've got your perfect boobies!!
Let me know how you get on - will be nice to have someone recovering at the same time as me!!!

Sounds like you're in good hands and you're going to have nice matching boobs soon hun Dont worry about people gossiping, they'll soon get bored and talk about someone else, plus as you have quite asymmetrical breasts and im sure they would understand why you're doing it! You have a nice supportive bf too which is great x
