Had a little panic...
Well I got up this morning, took my bra off to get in the shower and did my daily exam of the twins in the mirror and there on my right breast near my cleavage was what looked like the deepest longest bright red stretch mark!!! I freaked out straight away as I really really hope to avoid the dreaded things. I am prone to them and I just want to love my new boobs and not cover them up for another reason. My surgeon told me I would prob be ok as I had an uplift too so the skin isnt stretched as tight and my skin has already been stretched in the past from being a 40GG when I was overweight! Anyway I have been plastering myself in bio oil from about 3 months pre-op and am still doing it now. I dont really believe that these things work but I figure I've got nothing to lose... anyway I showed my fella and he wasnt sure but said that I was sleeping on my side a bit last night. I looked at the seams inside the macom and it looks like as I have slightly rolled over the seam on the fastening bit had creased over and it was just a very deep crease mark!! So relieved my boobs are still stretch mark free, the crease mark has gone now and I'm praying they stay this way... didnt half worry me though!

As I was reading the start of that I thought uh oh & iv got no chance - cause im quite worried I'll get them. Then all turned out well :) Glad its all ok!
I'm thinking I might permanently live in a sportsbra for a year and not look cause I am such a panicer sometimes I think every exam prior to a shower I'd be posting on here lol xox

Re: Had a little panic...
I have stretch marks on my boobs. Not from my BA, but from when I breast fed.. They're faded to a very light silvery lines now and can't say they bother me at all. I just consider them a part of who I am and now I have boobs. I pretty much like me now. Xx

Yeah I have some on my boobs already from when I was big but they faded years ago and since having the BA they are invisible as they have been 'filled out' I just didnt want any more!!

Re: Had a little panic...
I'm not working at the moment. I qualified in September a week before my surgery. I have a job to go to but I still havent had a start date and I'm still waiting for my CRB checks and NMC pin. I knew it would be Nov at the earliest which is why I booked my surgery when I did so I would have at least 6 weeks off work. That said I have got a job interview at another trust a week today for a perm position (been offered 6 months temp at current trust where I did my training) so if I get that who knows when I'll be starting!!
Thanks Jakki32! I am very happy, had a wobbly moment a couple of days ago as I had a bit of a dent in my left boob which had been there since day 1 but today it looks a lot better so hopefully that will resolve itself completely over the next few weeks. Definately the best thing I ever did!

Re: Had a little panic...
Aww well good luck with everything. I qualified in January this year! It's scary stuff. I'll just have to pray for small babies so I don't damage my boobs lifting them hehe xoxo

Yeah and no ladies with raised BMI and an epiduaral! Trying to roll them to check their pressure areas isnt fun! And no bloody shouder dystocias! I dread trying to get someone into mcroberts! Its already a manual handling nightmare without new boobs that are still healing!!

I'm sure you will be fine, if anything it might make you use the correct manual handling techniques cos we all cheat on that dont we!! So your spine will thank you!!!

Re: Had a little panic...
They do look better Lauren... They might look a lit tale red and angry at first with the skin being so stretched. But after healing they'll look better than before. Xx
