6.3cm projection
Does anyone else have an implant with similar size projection? What is the average projection? Im worried they are going to be comedy boobs if they stick out too much =S

Re: 6.3cm projection
I'm not sure how much this will help but I had 365cc impants with 5.4cm projection.... I don't mine look anything like comedy boobs and I'm sure an extra 0.9cm wouldn't make them look comedy either :)
I'm sure the surgeon has suggested the best implants to achieve the look you have asked for :)

Re: 6.3cm projection
Mine are 5.4cm projection. What I will say though hunni is that your surgeon may have chosen implants with a high projection to correct the shape of your breasts if they are tuberous. My Pre-op boobs were a weird shape (although deformed, my ps said they weren't strictly tuberous) and where I had previously wanted moderate profile he recommended high profile to help correct my shape xxx

I agree
Your height and build will also be taken into consideration also hun as well as the way your rib cage sits and your starting breast shape/size, which will be different to anybody else's here. Remember our anatomy is unique to each of us so the implant type and profile is tailored to suit your body and give you the best result to suit you. Xx
Re: 6.3cm projection
Ohh that's great thank you so much everyone! I was just looking on catalogues for different implant sizes and most seemed around 4cm so was worried that 6cm might make me look like i'm toppling over (even tho i'm 6ft tall haha). Yes Wishful, i think the tuberous breasts is the reason he suggested such a large projection...I know it sounds kind of silly looking back but i knew he suggested anatomicals to sort of push out my nipple without having to lower my crease as well (they are only mildly tuberous - i asked about lowering the crease and he said the implants would be heavy enough to sort my crease) and never really made the link between that and projection yours all look fabulous tho and i'm so relieved now i know what the projection will sort of end up like x x x
Re: 6.3cm projection
Ah I see Hun, that's interesting, I had a lowered crease with round implants. Will be great to see the anatomical approach (if I can) when you've had your op! Oh and for the record, if you're 6ft then I very much doubt you will end up like Dolly Parton my love!x

Re: 6.3cm projection
Oh deffo Wishful tho i'm only getting them done in April but i will deffo show you. Thinking of taking some pre-op pictures soon just so that other ladies that think they may tuberous breasts can have a look at mine and have something to sort of compare to :smiler: do you have a picture trail i could look at Wishful? I really was surprised to not have to have the crease lowered x x x
Re: 6.3cm projection
Yep will pm you details now hunni. To be honest I've seen a few approaches for tuberous breasts. I was told I had tuberous breasts by one surgeon who offered a nipple lift. Then told I didn't by two other (reconstructive) surgeons one who offered me lowered crease and moderate profile rounds, and another who offered high profile rounds with lowered crease/ full anchor lift. The last surgeon was the one I chose who drew all over me and had me doing crazy things with my arms to show me what could be achieved with each option. (I am a very visual person, so he was who I chose!) x

Re: 6.3cm projection
I'm glad that your'e happy with who you chose. The one that i saw is also a reconstructive surgeon but isn't BAAPS or BAPRAS registered, was yours? But i appreciated his honesty, I was in my consultation for an hour and he answered all my questions and let me try on sizers in a sports bra and told me why he recommended what he recommended and even told me if i wanted unders (which i mentioned) i'd have to go to another surgeon because i would deffo get double bubble and he wasn't willing to do it,,,i appreciated the honesty, i want my surgeon to be straight talking just going to go on a few more consultations to get other opinions tho tbh think i will probably end up sticking with the first one. He really made an impact on me, think it was the fact that he could justify every decision he had made x x x
