one boob bigger then the other..
I have one boob bigger then the other i cant notice on myself until a pictures been taken, but then it looks really noticable and im worried when I get my augmentation that it will be amplified, as Ill be bigger. My surgeon said its not a significant enough to use two different sized implants so i was just wondering how significant does it have to be in grams for something to be done about it?

Re: one boob bigger then the other..
In general, the difference between the breasts has to be bigger than the difference between the size of the implant that you plan to use on the smaller breast and the next smaller implant (that would go on the bigger breast). This is not as straightforward as it may seem, because it depends on the brand, type, and even size of the implants used (bigger implants have bigger gaps between one size and the next).
By the way, when you have a breast enlargement with implants of identical size, any difference in volume will become less, and not more, visible. Since you are not changing the difference in volume that you had to begin with, but you end up with bigger breasts, as a percentage of the final volume the difference will be smaller.
Hope I managed to explain it...

Hey...I had my op about 4 days ago and I had a slight difference in size. My surgeon told me it wasn't enough to use tow different size implants. I was skeptical about it, but they are just perfect - both same size now. I'd explain it by saying that when your boobs are small any difference is noticeable, but once they're a good size the difference is so tiny in relative terms that you can't see it anymore. Listen to your PS and try not to worry hun xxx

Hello,
I had a big difference in my breast before I started I was wearing a 34C but only my right would fill it! What snake said was exactly what my surgeon said, the difference will look less after the implant!
But saying that as the difference was pretty big for me I had 345 in the bigger one and 375 in the smaller.
I am 12 days post op and my bigger one is still bigger although my husband said that I am imagining it! I think that it's still swollen on that side as thats the side I had an areola lift! It looks more full!
I am really hoping that they settle together!!!

Just want to say thanks, Snake, and to the other girls replying..I've been worrying about exactly the same thing! I too have one breast a bit bigger than the other and my surgeon said he would still use the same size implants - now I understand why :) xx

I now have one boob bigger than the other, it's more noticable since i've had BA, maybe it's because i never really paid attention to them pre-op and after i'd had them done i was constantly looking at them lol, i don't know xx

Well Iv now had my BA...so I have an update... I can still see the size difference but its no greater or no less then before but I think stefjil is right in saying that you study them more after. Most people have commented on how even they both look so its probably just my critical eye!

Re: one boob bigger then the other..
Thank you! I have been searching the internet and couldnt find anyone with odd boobs openly talking about it lol
Im getting two different sizes, 410 and 380 in the smaller breast. Im a little scared of the outcome but i trust my surgeon and know that theyre are really odd! :(
Saying that though, when i asked my boyfriend a while ago he said he couldnt tell the difference! i think sometimes us women escalate things in our mind! im sure you'll look fiiiiine! :)

Re: one boob bigger then the other..
I think we are very critical and thought that was the case with me, unfortunatly my smaller one is still getting smaller and the other is staying the same!
I am gutted as this was the main reason I wanted a BA, so I didn't have to go out with one side stuffed so my bra would fit on that side!!!!! It even crossed my mind that my PS may have put in the bigger implant on the wrong side but that idea went as quickly as it came as I know that he is soooo professional!!!
What do you think the difference would have to be to have a re-op with a bigger implant in for free?
I know it's really early days and they may settle but was just wondering?
Thanks
Carlie

It might be a bit difficult for snake to answer that hun because it's a personal medical/surgical question.
But it's very early days for you! It could just be that one has dropped at a quicker rate than the other - that's very normal. You've got a lot of changes to come but perhaps if there's still a problem at 3 months then you can go and have another chat with your ps then.

Re: one boob bigger then the other..
I had different shaped and sized boobies pre-op. So had different sized implants 325 and 345.
They've evened up more than before and actually in photos I dont notice the size difference but when I look in the mirror, I see it more but it is better than pre BA.
I knew there would still be a slight difference as I only had 20 difference between them but I thought having 375 would make my smaller the then larger one.......but Im happy with them no-one's are symmetrically perfect are they???
My smaller one still needs to drop more too to catch up with the leftie so also hoping then it may fluff and catch up?? U think??? Not sure the fluffing fairy has paid me a visit yet not noticing any changes not since very early on just softening more each day.

As this is a medical/surgical topic, I'm moving this into the general breast surgery section.
