Post by vixylyx 26th December 2012, 3:27 pm

Hi everyone

I'm 9 days post opp I've had my 1 week check and I'm a little concerned about the swelling between my breast. So far I've been quite lucky and I'm healing well, the nurse was happy with my scars.

The swelling between my breast is quite significant and sore sometimes. I'm panicking it's lifting up, I had unders but large implants. I've been as big as E cup during pregnancy
and was a saggy DD befor losing lots of weight and going down to a B cup.

Is this normal?

Hi vixylyx. I think this is quite normal. I too had it and it took about 2 weeks before it went completely x

Thanks for the reply Snowy, I know I'm most likely worrying over nothing.
I just don't want anything to go wrong.

Knowing someone else had something similar and it was normal is very reassuring.

Absolutely normal babe! I had swelling over my sternum for a loooooong time. I found it really difficult to get wired bras to fit too at first and had to gently break myself into them.

For some this might last a day, a week, a month or a good few months hun, but it does settle down eventually

As always whenever you go back for check ups though do always mention any concerns you have though hun so your surgeon hun. Xx

I can't say from experience yet Hun but this is one of the things my surgeon spoke about when I last saw him, really sore but really common! Happy healing xx

Thank you everyone for the replies. You have all made me feel much better and helped stop me being so stressed that some thing was going wrong.

I did mention it to the nurse she said it was normal, but it seemed to swell more the next few days. I will be seeing someone next week for a second check up so will mention it again.

It's better today
